I see how much jam you used and think to myself, "that's not enough". Would it be a bad idea to use more jam or a lot more jam? I'll be giving it a go anyway. It looks very similar to a dessert we would have got in Primary School back in the 70's, the base was just shortcrust but the topping was what you made, which makes me think, of my Grannies apple tart which had that type of pastry.
