Meera Reddy was a financial analyst working in Bengaluru. She had been with one of the companies for over ten years. Meera was very good at her job, which involved checking and fixing financial records, making sure everything was accurate, and preparing reports. Every day, she would carefully go through lots of data, matching numbers, finding mistakes, and ensuring the company’s money records were correct.

One day, the company decided to use Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to make their work faster and more efficient. Rajiv Nair, the Chief Technology Officer, brought in Aryan Gupta, a young expert in RPA, to automate simple, repetitive tasks in different departments. Aryan started working on automating the steps that Meera did every day.

The RPA software was designed to do Meera’s job much faster. It could match numbers, check accounts, and create reports in minutes instead of hours. Meera watched as the tasks she had done for years were being done by a robot in a fraction of the time. Soon, the company realized they no longer needed Meera for this work because the robot could do it all. Rajiv called Meera into his office and, with a heavy heart, told her that her job was being replaced by the automation software. The company asked her to resign since her work was now automated.
