I did a scene by scene restoration of this Classic B-29 pilot training film -- one of my favorites. This is a thorough pilot's view introduction to the premier bomber of World War II, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress .Faster than a Zero fighter, it represents the peak of piston engine era technology, with remote controlled gun turrets, a heavy bomb load and a pressurized cabin. The B-29 was the primary weapon used in the US Army Air Force's long range attacks on targets in the Japanese home islands. This is also the aircraft that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
"The B-29 bomber was an amazing technological achievement!"
