is there a Text to speech option? I want to do the opposite. I want to type in what I want it to say to do my voice overs so i don't have to record them

This is the GramGram who everyone thinks I am a video expert...... but that is just because none of my friends make videos and don't know I just do things by accident.... and correct errors by watching your videos. I just tried the Speech 2 text on a simple little video file. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!! If you knew how I did subtitles before..... it took me all night! And then reediting and reediting. This was amazing. and like Sum Guy & Pookiengel posted.... It really is quite accurate and so easy to make the minor corrections. THIS IS A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS GIFT UPDATE!!!!! Which PowerDirector version support these options when comes to subtitles?

When SBS TV launched here in Australia back around 1980, they showed movies from Europe and asia in the native languages of the various countries therein. Naturally, subtitling into English was required for those of us for whom English was our only language. Then some wag makes the remark: "Read any good movies lately?" 😄

So I see your back on here now as this video of PowerDirector with you in the picture just popped up, so I watched it.
I don't have this program and I am now on Pinnacle Studio 25 Ultimate.
(I could hear your voice saying that as I typed it, like you did at the start of each video LOL).
SO IS THIS BETTER THAN PINNACLE? and or are you going to do Pinnacle again?
Almost everything I learnt about editing videos was through your tutorials and help.
As like the multicam tutorial for instance.
I would play a bit of video and chop it out, then I would play a bit of another video and chop that out and then move them along the timeline to try and sync them up and join them together that way.
Then I watched your multicam tutorial and was blown away with just syncing the videos together with clapping and then on the timeline, then just sitting there tapping on the 1, 2, or 3 ETC for the video I wanted to add to make the edited video I wanted and it was so bloody easy that I couldn't do enough multi cameras as I really enjoyed that, and so I kept updating Pinnacle to keep going and up to date.
So I really enjoyed your work and was sad when you finished, but just seen this and glad you are still up and running.

You are a God sent savior (even though I am not religious...LOL)... my daughter asked me to caption a 20 minute video just a few hours ago on day of release of your video and I resubscribed to Cyberlink immediately and was done in less than an hour, just editing the captions... It had a hard time with Saskatchewan, but who doesn't.

I seen this crazy effect you used. It had you in the same clip, doing different things. Omg how did you do that? It was so awesome Sir.

I just click on the substitute room Sir buy didn't see the options that came to yours first. So am lot please help me out. I really wish l can send the picture to you

I used it for the first time today. My video was so long, I did not realize the subtitle track showed words - mine looked like an audio wave. After stretching out the timeline, I could see it (very cool!). Right now, YT seems to do a better job of transcribing, but this is easier to fix in PD than the YT CC editor. But I did notice a longer render time, and a lot more CPU heat. A great new addition, and another great tutorial!
I just wish the update download was actually a download. Every new thing I want to try... has to download before the 1st use... but that is a new "feature" from CyberLink... not your fault ha ha 😎

Can you move around the position of the captions? There are too high up in the frame....

I think this update is a total game changer when it comes to being able to caption all videos made especially when it comes to podcast videos, or any videos as it will allow for people to read and not have to worry about typing it all in!

How did you make the editor create the Subtitles for you. I don't think I see that option. And yes i'm on PD21

its not working in my side, I have paid subscription and I reached the step (create) but the analyze part in the video doesn't show in my video the only thing is the subtitle table and it's empty , can anyone help

Is subtitle room available, when you download for free and choose not to pay fees? I clicked on FREE after download and did not check the difference in available services. Now I have no subtitle room. It is unclickable.

The "speech to text" button doesn't appear for me. It just takes me straight into the subtitle room. Is it because i have the most updated version? TIA

I have just confirmed via the PD21 "help" function and via the Cyberlink user forum that speech-to-text is not yet included with the perpetual license for PD21, only with PD365. You may want to update the description under this tutorial... Dan

Hi, Please answer, in 2017 I bought lifetime licenze of Power Director online and I used several years.This year it doent works any more and was dissarired from MY Desk. I loged me to my power director account and from there I installed again Power director , now I cant even save my videos .Please let me know what can I do? Support center I couldnt contact, because there isnt a NUmmer, or Mail where I can call, or write? I payed that time 59,99 Euro. Please help me, Thanks bro.
