Ответитьi also can’t believe anyone on this planet actually pays more than 100 for a KEYBOARD
Ответитьi mean i hear what ur saying but this made me cringe bad
ОтветитьIdk if i should get the apex pro mini or the apex pro tkl
ОтветитьI found mine at 10$ at a resale shop
ОтветитьInteresting review, thanks so much for your insight😁. I felt that the steel series Apex 7 or Apex pro were my choices for a new keyboard. But after doing some research about faulty components and now that the pro isn't what it seems. Funny how theres a really good sale on Steel series keyboards in my area. I may have to rethink, any other keyboards that you would recommend? Or is the Steelseries Apex 7 still alright?
ОтветитьI have this keyboard and when I connect it to my PS5 it reads it as a mouse. I haven't been able to play with this keyboard on my PS5. any idea of the solution? thank you.
ОтветитьVery bad review, to picky. There’s obviously going to be corners cut and things not how you might want but it’s all down to them making more money!
ОтветитьThe new software update on the full size apex pro I found our about by accident and it's now on my desk.
You only need omnipoint on the 60% im a month in using it again wirh the scroll wheel actuation adjustment and ive not once cared. You probably can do the same stuff with tour oled switch you probably just need the firmware update like I did for the full size pro max
What’s the difference between the normal one and the 2023 one
Ответитьi dont understand why you even want omnipoint switches on the rest of your keyboard. I think the reason why we dont get them on funktion keys and arrow keys are that we dont really use them. I dont use them, its just an excuse to hate on the brand and the products they release. And its not only the omnipoints or the branding that makes this keyboard expensive, its also the build quality. The rubust feeling of the keyboard is very nice and if you got it you know that it aint gonna break, and the nice features that come with the keyboard is also a reason why the price is so high. Dont hate on products you cant afford.
ОтветитьIf your that ad about the switches switch them your self!
Ответитьthe omnipoint swithes is also a little faaster cause its omnipoint 2.0 but still kind of no difference
ОтветитьNice review! But it looks more like an opinion on what prices Steelseries should charge for their different models and how much they should be differentiated. Which leaves me a bit confused - one complain is that a lower priced model has inferior RGB (not sure why it is part of this review), another is that this high priced model looks much like a lower priced model. So, not sure if they should differentiate less on more.
Ответитьman completely bashed SteelSeries. And a bunch of "IMO" comments. No diving into what is good for your needs or for you just bashed the new iteration. Wont be back for future reviews lol not sure how it was a review at all.
ОтветитьThanks for this review.
I picked up an Arctis Nova 7X headset and was looking to unify some hardware with a new keyboard and its interesting to see Steelseries still isn't giving customers what they want even though the keyboard space is getting so competitive. Guess I am skipping Steelseries for another 5 years or more, again.
I was looking at purchasing this keyboard because my old Apex Pro is starting to have issues but knowing that this has two types of switches is a huge downside. And the fact that it's still mostly plastic for about $200 is so disgraceful. I think I'll move away from SteelSeries now completely.
Ответитьwhy is bro yapping about the looks and sound when the keyboard is for GAMING. if you want something that sounds nice and looks nice buy a keyboard that’s not for gaming. its that simple
Ответитьare the switches hot-swappable? other keyb. brands say that if magnetic swithch used then it is hot-swappable by default but I didn't see that on Steelseries website.
ОтветитьIs the speed better than the other brands? What’s your top keyboard?
Ответитьbasically just buy the older version!
ОтветитьYou raise so many great points here.
Ответить@Too Much Tech. You answered your own question. The reason why those "competitive" oriented switches ( magnetic / rapid trigger ) are not present on the entirety of the keyboard is two-fold. 1 ) they are not needed and 2 ) the cost savings of not having to populate the keyboard with additional keys is passed on to the consumer. I just picked the 2023 TKL wired version up for $125 when it was on sale very briefly not long ago. BTW, more manufactures will be introducing magnetic switch based keyboards in 2024. A few videos were recently shared with me and can you say "gasket magnetic thocky volume knob" 3 x real fast? LOL. Good things coming.
Ответитьthe wired cost 240 usd here in Denmark. but im happy with mine, i opgrade it from apex 7 tkl. dont care abut sound, all gamers use headset anyway. but i think the sound is different her 10 month later, mine is quiet, or just put O ring in it if youy have ocd. After 14 days, most people dont care abut design, sound, and all that, its all abaut how it feels in a game in the end.
ОтветитьAfter using the keyboard for six months, whenever I increase the sensitivity to <0.5, the keyboard starts to glitch (outputs without any touch).
ОтветитьI got it (Pro TKL Wless) a few days ago for 100 euros, can't complain. It's a great gaming keeb.
ОтветитьThey finally adjusted the prices to what you stated.
ОтветитьIs it worth buying the last generation?
ОтветитьAbout the switches, no one uses arrow keys in modern day gaming (small percentage sure) again same with function keys, they are so high up and hardly used except mainly for mmos and such again small percentage so I am ffine having the main keyboard having only omnipoint switches
ОтветитьNice video! I prefer the tenkeyless layout more, do you think that the wooting is that much better that i should go for that?
ОтветитьI have the old apex full keyboard I’ve always used it on ps4 and 5. It works great for my first keyboard I didn’t realize how good it was when I bought it
Ответитьdo you think it's possible to swap the red switches in the wireless model for your own switches, or even more omnipoint switches?
ОтветитьI got this keyboard and pretty happy with it
ОтветитьIt's basically the same thing, except -- it's just price raised due to inflation.
Ответить$250usd and you don't even get a full set of switches.. yeah. Thats a instant no buy for me.
What a ripoff
Just bought the new one, feels worth than my first gen. I am about to return it
ОтветитьI like Steelseries a lot. I'm also danish, so I grew up with their stuff being pushed heavily on the early Scandinavian pro gaming scene, like the Icemat, Steelpad and Qck literally 20+ years ago before they were even called Steelseries. They've innovated with mousepads, keyboards and affordable gaming headsets and definetly had their ups and downs when it comes to quality. Them cutting corners here does not come as a surprise as their products have been very hit and miss for years. I switched to Logitech a few years ago, but i've been looking at some of their stuff cause it seems to be great value as long as you don't buy the flagship keyboards.
Ответитьi completely agree with u, i feel like the whooting is far worth imo
ОтветитьSuggest avoiding the product. Mine will drop connectivity randomly and the steelseries mouse has issues as well. Very disappointed in the brand.
ОтветитьThe wooting is definitely better but i have to wait months to get it...
ОтветитьThis, or Logi G915 TKL, or Logi G715, or Razer Deathstalker V2 Pro TKL?
Ответитьsomeone could explain me concretely the differences between the 2023 version and the old one ? (sorry I'm french, I have a little difficulty to understand everything)
Ответитьdo you think buying the 2023 edition is worth it if I’m using an Xbox? Will I still be able to use most of the features? Also, my current keyboard is the Razer Huntsman mini with purple switches
ОтветитьI'm sorry but the sound on the Apex Pro TKL 2023 sounds really good still. Even if it's different it still sounds creamy.
Ответитьbtw u can update the firmware of the old one to get 0.2 mm actuation within steelseries gf software
Ответитьi have the old one, but i have to admit shooting 60 he is way better, key switches are nicer and sound better, has lower input delay and lower actuation, is higher quality and cheaperr
ОтветитьOLD!
ОтветитьI agree looks wise it looks like that one reddragon keyboard and looks cheap the old one with the wrapping aluminium plate
looked to good
You need to turn your microphone volume up.
