Elden Ring - Walkthrough Part 56: Leyndell, the Royal Capital

It is finally time to make our way to the Capital with all the south content completed. While the enemies here won't be terribly hard if you've been following along the guide the bosses can still be quite challenging. This episode we focus on tackling a lot of the upper portion of the capital city.

While there isn't any incredibility important loot this episode there is quite a lot to do here and it's good to fully clear out the capital as we'll lose access to it later.

Insane how you wrecked through the capital like it's nothing. I'm struggling to get through as a spellblade.

Why does my carian retaliation barely work? I time it right but he still gets thru and able to hit me. Seems to work only like 40% of the time when it actually knocks them down

I got Envoy's Long Horn on first try!

Honestly, I hate lendyll, it’s beautiful but I hate the place, it’s not any fun for me. This is mainly because I couldn’t get that dang stone sword key on the gazebo and then I died while fighting the beast guy with the perfumer by falling off a cliff

Not sure if you get it later but you missed a chest at the top of the ladder in the beginning.

Nice guide. I would be helpful if you post your level and stats along with main loadout items so people can get an idea if they're ready to take on this area.

What level are you in this area, or supposed to be? I’m only level 50, is that enough?

what level is your bloodhound blade at this point? I was doing ok damage with it at like level 6 or so but clearly way less than you 🤣

I LOVE IT when he's like "these guys are pretty easy" lol. Uh, my health bar isn't even half way to the compass line. I'm always trying to find roofs or stealth means, cause these guides are SO organized and great. Not like Joe Hammer who deletes negative comments, lol.

I thought Elden Ring had a great art, but after seeing the capital I believe they created a masterpiece.

I got Envoy’s Long Horn first kill, is it guaranteed or did I get lucky?!?

That part right before you started the rooftop area hoping to get the envoys long horn I actually got it while I was following along in your guide... had a quick laugh, hopped on the interwebs, and realized how broken the weapon is and how lucky I am to get it. Currently looking up OP builds for this weapon. So excited :D. Hope you got it soon after cowboy!

If you're having trouble with long jumps, use the Winged Scythe (Angel's Wings) for the roof top jumps.

That first gargoyle guy gives me 3998 souls every time I kill him and the page's to level to 91 so far. I fought them and then ran to the grace... rinse/repeat... Thanks for the great video!!

Melina isn't appearing for me I went back through all graces she appears at any aidea how I can get her back? I followed this walk through thr whole time I was missing the Altus platue grace right next to the lift grabbed it and she still didn't appear help please

When cowboy talks about the weapon that the really tall bubble guys drops(the envoys long horn) I thought he was joking, and thought it was a silly and radiculas weapon. But to my surprise, this actually is a titan of power of a weapon. Don't ever under estamate bubbles. This thing will get the job done every time.

Figures. The last chance I give Elden Ring to impress me, I get the big horn you were after Cowboy. The game utterly failed to impress me. Dark Souls 3 was so much better. Total waste of $65.

Most of the rooftop loots I can’t get because for some reason my character is unable the jump far enough to reach them. I’m at light load so what gives?

My biggest problem is that there are almost no sights of grace and I always start all the way at the start and have to deal with all of the enemy’s again

Under 20 tries. 2 pickled feet. Got the horn on my faith build. 🎉

@FightinCowboy Have you ever been able to activate the divine bridge elevator from the TOP to get into fortified manor from the side entrance? I did it once in a jouney 2/3/4 game(can't remember) and I even had to to use that mysterious lever next to the doors to open them from the outside. I think I first entered Lyndell from the Prince of Death's Throne sending gate to get the first rampart grace site.(not sure if I had 2 great runes yet) There has to be some combination of events and interactions to make this shit happen again! xD

Got completely sidetracked.. ended up in the sewers with no more heals or magic . Troll got my ass 😂

I feel bad for getting the Envoys Longhorn weapon on my first kill.... ever.. in my first playthrough

I realize cowboy says poison sucks but I'm running a venomous Fang build and frankly it wrecks. Deadly poison almost as strong as rot plus it procs a 30% damage increase on me, combine with the prosthetic from our favorite Lady if I'm get an opening it just melts... It's actually a really fun build so far.

I had to fight 2 erdtrees on the street of the capital. Strange... I've never had an update though so there is also a bunch of items missing

Amazing how doable the capital is when you have the right weapons and level. I tackled it a lot earlier than this, with no big weapon to stun the knights, and it was a struggle. Fun, though. Except for the crucible twit. Trivial once you can parry? Yes. Still exceptionally boring to fight? Heck yes.
