Hes a sayan tho, they reach their prime fighting age quicker and stay at it longer, so i think even a 10 year old sayan counts as a teen compared to humans

I think people say Teen Gohan just because it's faster to say the Pre-Teen Gohan.

Gohan is actually 9 years old chronologically. The timeskip between Namek and Trunks visit was only 1 year not 2, meaning Gohan was 6. Plus the 3 year timeskip = 9. It is also stated Gohan is 16 at the start of the Buu Saga and that was a 7 year timeskip. 16 -7 = 9. He might have an aged body due to The Room of Spirit and Time, but from a calendar standpoint, he's not even a preteen when he defeated Cell (btw I'm going off the Manga and Kai, not the old Z dubs)

I met Kyle Herbert (English VA of Gohan from Boo Arc onwards) back in 2008 and he called his character "Teen Gohan". I've also done a quick google search and there are websites as old as 2012 interviewing Kyle Herbert on voicing "Teen Gohan". I'm pretty sure the only ones who refer to the Cell Arc Gohan as a teen are video games and that is just to separate him from the Saiyan Arc and Boo Arc skins. If they were really smart though they'd use this system:

Saiyan Arc: Gohan (Kid)
Freeza Arc: Gohan (Saiyan Armor)
Cell Arc: Gohan
Boo Arc: Gohan (Teen)
Super/GT: Gohan (Adult)
History of Trunks: Gohan (Future)

11 years is still a teen, tf you talking about. 10 til 19 is a teen

Mistranslation from Japanese to english as well as cultural differences. Japanese measures their "teen" years from 10 to 19. Please remember that English isn't the only language spoken in the entire world and the world doesn't revolve around westerners

We keep in mind the time chamber coming out early, but we tend to forget the saiyan invasion happened in less than a year. While Raditz said they had a year, they arrived early. If I remember correctly they arrive after only 10 or 11 months instead of a full year. That or TFS is leaking into my memory again and mixing up the canon as it sometimes does.

I feel he's called a "teen" to identity him separately compared to his appearances in the other sagas within Z. During the Saiyan saga and Planet Namek saga, having Gohan as a youth, and the Majin Buu saga, having Gohan as a young adult.
