I REALLY don't recommend using raw sideb to ledgetrap, it's way too punishable

NEVER use downsmash from downthrow, it's really bad. Use uptilt or upair if the opponent mashes better.

Okay the usage you said with downsmash is just wrong, downsmash is far more useful than you'd think. Tech chases, roll reads, landing punishes...
