still have a huge problem with the mic with this motherboard. Realtek sound really has a problem picking up sound from the mic. I would recommend buing a seperate soundcard with this motherboard.

The H100/H100i might not fit (inside top of case) in the Scout 2 case with the motherboard. If it does reply back because i was thinking the same thing.

I am still using this board today....It is still a fantastic board .

I paired it with a i7 2600k overclocked to 4.8 and 16 gb of ram.

i'm changing board to sabertooth z77. i think it will fit just nice because scout2 has some space for the radiator on top

on my board the fan headers where fault manufactured so no fanpins are fitting...

MY specs on this mobo. cpu i7 2600k 3.4 ghz ram 16gb kingston 4x4gb. psu 980watt corsair tx. case corsair c70. coolermaster poseidon 240 watercooling. gpu asus gtx770 oc.

at the top of this motherboard there is an 8 PIN power connector. My question is, I am running a gtx 780 and a 570physx card. Do I need to connect the 8 pin from PSU to MB or not bother? Its been giving me headaches!!!!

for anyone using this board in 2013, i need some advice. I bought this board back in 2012 but have only just got around to buying the cpu which is an ivybridge 3570k! Will I have to flash? if so how? I dont have an old intel chip;.

keep the driver cd very important overwise asus wouldnt bundle the board with the cd if everyone was 'going to throw it away'

Great board, i`m using this board around two years with a 2600k@4600mhz and 4x2GB corsair in XMP 2133mhz. assist-fan installed in 24x7use. I never had any problems and i never change or sell it.

Haha dang, just pulled one out of a dumpster. I tend to find plenty of computers and other components tossed out. I guess that's what you get with a university town and younger folks moving in and out all the time.

I've refurbished and sold quite a few good PC's.

One bit of advice though, whipe your drives before throwing out your computers lol
