Your clue this week for the scavenger hunters: President. Muse. ...- - -... -John
Ответить6 years later but I just wanna say that I really appreciate video's like this. Thank you❤
ОтветитьI'm feeling quite angry right now.
ОтветитьI'm
ОтветитьOddly, I'm soothed by the fact that John, like us, curates a version of himself that is much more coherent than our more authentic selves
ОтветитьThis I think is the best John video ever. Its such a powerful ‘truth’ on how we frame life esp via social media!
ОтветитьThis video is basically just "Post-modernism: Simplified". And I love it.
ОтветитьOK I am aware of this notion of the betrayal of images; we live in a time where most people is producing some kind of content, some picture of themselves. But how do we juggle the notion that everything we see is edited (hence shallower than real) and avoiding to be jaded or even judgemental of others?
ОтветитьJohn (or anyone) if you are a podcast person I'd highly suggest you listen to "supernormal stimuli". It's eye opening, truly.
ОтветитьIt's funny... being inside the community for a while now and seeing what people like the most about the channel through interaction and the surveys result I get a colorful view of how this community is, despite being like minded and positive, very diverse. This, to me, is my favourite type of video. This theme is one that accompanies me through my daily life and although I am happy to be attentive to how shallow our vision is if not immersed, I am a bit haunted by it as well, specially when I become intolerant of my girlfriend's social media habits.
ОтветитьWow 1000 comment
ОтветитьI’m
ОтветитьWhose from alan b?
ОтветитьThis video was written almost a year and a half ago and I still come back and watch it from time to time... it’s just a great video 😊
ОтветитьIDK but I kinda love my ocd..
(I'm social tho)
Thank you that was really helpful ❤️
ОтветитьJohn you should include the Intercept in your diet, as of now it's rather ideologically narrow
ОтветитьHI HI HI
ОтветитьGood morning
ОтветитьI'm
ОтветитьThis is still one of my favorite Vlogbrothers videos of all time. <3
ОтветитьThis is the problem with people saying being polite or not insulting a person you don't like, is fake. It's not lying it's just choosing to show the true part of you that is most relevant to the situation.
ОтветитьThis is one of my favorite recent videos. I've been watching for around 4 or 5 years now and there are some videos and quotes of yours that I think about a lot. This is one that I keep coming back to.
ОтветитьOkay, now I get the 'this is not a pipe' TFiOS reference!
Ответитьsometimes im jealous of the unframed shots though, the clumsy real raw things, like how did they gte so confident that theyll reveal that?
ОтветитьI love! The Vlogbrothers!
ОтветитьOh my god this is beyond true! Out of an hour of filming, I often barely kick out about a 20 minute video simply because of all of the takes and re-takes I have to do (and then spend multiple hours editing and splicing together exactly how I want them to be)
ОтветитьJohn - here's a subject that I think you would find really interesting and worthy of talking about: media literacy. That's basically what you're talking about. I would love to see you promote media literacy (the ability to evaluate mass media - although that's an incomplete definition) in the nerdfighter community and other places.
ОтветитьSo relatable. My 20 minute videos are usually 40-60 minutes long... and sometimes there are 3 versions...
ОтветитьWow. It is a pretty known idea, and, I guess, everyone understands it to some extent, but somehow this video made the concept clear to me. I think about framing a lot now, much more often than before, and it changes a lot of things.
So, thank you.
You stole all of this from Plato I think
ОтветитьAfter all these years, are you still anxious about how foreign your voice sounds when it isn't in your own head?
ОтветитьI'm so disappointed that I haven't watched a vlogbrothers video in two weeks, but after taking the SATs, this was an oddly satisfying and fulfilling video to come back to. We, as viewers, really do take these complete and edited videos for granted, and now I see just how much effort goes into one of your videos. Thank you for reminding me it's not simple and that this is a process, and life is as well. DFTBA
ОтветитьNot till making videos myself did I recognize the amount of frustration and potential for self hatred that goes into every shot. Thanks for the work you do, and for being honest about it.
ОтветитьThere's a lot of thing I can relate to online. A lot of memes express EXACTLY how I feel about a situation and many people share similar ideas I had. However, you repeating "good morning, Hank"... I don't know why that shook me to my core. I feel like I do that, however I don't. Maybe it shows my mind when I'm talking to people. I'm using so stuck on the beginning that, even though I'm still actively talking, I'm mentally repeating the my introduction, trying to make it show right in my mind. I know a lot of people rewatch videos they already seen, but that's usually not me. Except for this video. It's like my own mind being physically staring me in the eyes, telling me what I'm always thinking
ОтветитьI love this! So true and so hard to remember moment to moment.
ОтветитьWow. I've been watching since 2007 & that was the best vlogbrothers video I have EVER seen.
Ответитьhow many times does John say good morning to make one vid?
ОтветитьThanks to Annie Epley, I know who the volgbrothers are, and this is yet another great video from them.
