This is why I left Hawaii back in 88 after the Tsunami alert. No where to go. If a Tsunami hits, millions will be dead, survivors will starve. Nice place to visit, can't live there.

Been there once and will never go back , this just assures me that it will never change only worse
I encourage everyone to go to the Caribbean instead, much better and affordable

Basically Hawaii is FUCKED because it's over populated and there is no true source to feed their own mouth. Pretty typical of any large city.

Well done truth about Hawai'i. Except for a couple of things like ... how huge the corporate military complex is inter island, having taken over lots of land, as well as other destructions historically up to now. And the reason Hawai'i was illegally taken over is not just big biz but military logistics in the middle of the Pacific. Also the fact that historically the islands were always recognized as a sovereign nation, therefore, the US Corporation is still illegally occupying these islands ... something that Hawai'i Tourism Authority never wants visitors to know. And folks that move from the lower 48 either don't know about it or mostly just don't care about it. How these islands have been raped & pillaged historically and currently has been normalized ... also why so many local Hawaiians have to leave ... is the goal of the Oligarchs and their CIA henchmen ... think about why is it that native populations here and globally are getting reduced or just wiped out? Go down that huge rabbit hole of truth is extremely sobering ... just for starters.

Hawaiian soil is more fertile than California farms, all it take is political will to be self sufficient. Like the saying goes, if there’s a will, there’s a way.

reevaluate the policies forcing land use in islands for data centers... archipelagos need their mountains, good soil quality, biodiversity... now they are full of LANDSLIDES! archipelagos are not like US, China, AUS, Russia... put your data centers there... 😂😅😅😅

What is with the music in this video? It's quite loud compared to the narration, and it's continually clipped, like it's been run through heavy compression or limiting - it sounds awful

If Honolulu Harbor is hit by a tsunami or hurricane, both Honolulu International Airport and Pearl Harbor will face similar disasters. They're too close together—less than a mile apart and at the same elevation. No one can consider either a safe haven.

If you think the costs to ship goods to Hawaii are high, take a look at inter Island shipping costs. In general, it's cheaper to ship an item from the west coast than to ship the same item inter-island.

"Self-sustaining" is... subjective.
Islands are particularly susceptible to famine - cycles of growth followed by warfare and cannibalism.
Only point: beware any descriptions of Hawaiian history as idyllic.

IF the bearucrats and selfish corporates would open up Hawaii to accepts Goods/Groceries DIRECTLY from Asia or other parts of the world given Hawaii is 3000 miles closer to Asia/South East Asia than western seaboard cities. Price of goods, food, seafood, poultry, raw material, building materials, furnitures, vehicles would all cost so much less. But some corrupt laws required stuffs be clear in the mainland before shipping to Hawaii that add more shipping cost. Maybe things will change after Jan 2025 with better sound business

Ответить
@thebookwasbetter3650

Whole video is a lie. It's because land is expensive. Land is expensive in Hawaii because more people want to live there than there is land. Plain and simple. Try not to forget that 99% of the stuff you buy in the Wal-Mart in Cincinnati passes by Hawaii. I remember looking at property taxes in Manoa. Every crummy two bedroom rambler on my block was Building: 80k, Land: 875k.
