You forgot about the incredible racist ranting
ОтветитьAnd then he called his cat.
Ответить“Cat food? And it’s chicken flavoured? I’ll take it”
ОтветитьThe most unrealistic part is that he bought the brown coloured sauce
ОтветитьI love the description 😂👌
ОтветитьShouldn't it be Wal-Mart or another American Supermarket instead of ASDA?
ОтветитьHe looks like a bizarro Mr. Bean
ОтветитьOk
ОтветитьAt least he didn't mention his cat ( you know you know).
ОтветитьHe just like me fr (minus the racism)
ОтветитьI like how he's not even that rude, he just politely states "no thank you."
ОтветитьNext do one where he goes to a pet store
Ответить'Brown ichor of the indescribable' - fabulous.
ОтветитьH bloody P bloody Love bloody Craft, What did he know. Eh?
ОтветитьThis title is brillant, and the description is possibly the best interpretation of US culture by a Brit since the revolution (yank here).
ОтветитьSurprised at the amount of degradation towards agoraphobia and other anxiety disorders and symptoms in this comment section, didn't know that was a common enough thing.
(Having a history with these illnesses myself, I wish it wasn't.)
Not enough Cyclopean or Antideluvian.
ОтветитьThere is debate to Lovecraft changing his views, I think it was a more drastic change as there was an account by Lovecraft's neighbor who said that Lovecraft and his aunts were outraged of the antisemitic attacks in Germany and after that news, he stopped mentioning Hitler.
ОтветитьLovecraft was from rhode island, so he would probably be at stop & shop or the market b😂asket in attleboro
ОтветитьHappy Michaelmas 🙏😇
ОтветитьThis is by far one of the most hilarious things ive seen.
ОтветитьI love that you correctly represented the scope of lovecrafts racist beliefs not only extended to non-europeans, but poor people, the ugly, italians, catholics etc
ОтветитьJFC Lovecraft that fishmonger is just asian
ОтветитьLovecraft whipping up the craziest shit when finding the one underpaid black worker at Walmart
ОтветитьOkay so we're gonna pretend we're all above looking at some people and feeling dread at the consideration of their foul lineage going back to some lost Agarthan troglodyte tribe? Political correctness gone mad I say.
Ответить50 year old wine
"iNdeScRiBAbLy aNCieNt"
Very good, but after his sojourn in New York he had a love of Italian food, mostly spaghetti. So we must assume this is set before new york, and before say 36, as his xenophobia wanned, as he met more people...
ОтветитьI don't know anything about H.P. Lovecraft, so I don't get the joke at all, but for some reason I still like this video.
ОтветитьAt least he didn't talk about his cat!
ОтветитьI haven't said the words "no thank you" normally in two years and it's all your fault
ОтветитьYou should've included Lovecraft interacting with his cat in this video.
ОтветитьBro quited on his mewing💀
ОтветитьLovecraft mentions racial and cultural discrimination in his work. He was aware of the concept but still openly participated lmao
ОтветитьMildly terrifying !
ОтветитьWhy is this so funny?
Why?!
This is kindergarten humor. "Lovecraft xenophobe haha" is about the lowest hanging fruit possible. Lovecraft has so many unique tropes in his works that could be exploited for comedy. A missed opportunity from a great comedian to be sure!
ОтветитьAnd hes still one of the best writers of all time
ОтветитьAlmost a year and a half after the came out, and I still hear "ITALIAN herbs? No thank you!" in my head when I see a recipe call for Italian seasoning.
ОтветитьHe looks like The Foreman from Toontown: Under New Management
ОтветитьItalian nevermore.
ОтветитьThat image makes Lovecraft look like he had a double chin. Man was like 130lbs for his entire life
ОтветитьThis could be a series. "Franz Kafka goes to the DMV." "Edgar Allen Poe visits the Orangutan enclosure."
ОтветитьDark thought creates dark work. If Lovecraft had been a well-rounded, gregarious xenophile, we may not have a literary canon that has terrified and inspired for a hundred years. His subject matter is the foundation of his greatness, but it's more than that. It's the man himself, really; he allowed his audience into a mind wrought with anxieties and irrational fears that shaped the work.
Ответитьthe older I get the more I understand the guy
ОтветитьThere needs to be a sequel where HPL tries soul food. Will he like it? Will he hate it? Will he feel it appropriate to feed to his cat?
ОтветитьGlad the video ended before he got to check the cat foods...
ОтветитьMe, a white man, when I discover that I'm also part white (I'm 2% Welsh): "No thank you!"
Ответить(picks up cat food) oh this will be perfect for-- BANNED!
ОтветитьH.P. had a cat with quite interesting name.
ОтветитьLovecraft adored Italian food.
