That video gave me mixed feelings. Making friends with wild birds, a fox, or even a Lynx is cute and all, but I would not mess with larger animals. They learn that they can approach humans this way which can be bad in the future. Trying to make friends with a moose, a rhino or a polar bear is not a good idea.

Some of these are less "friendly" and more "minding their own business"

The footage may be cute but those people just happen to be lucky nobody got their face or arm ripped off. The grizzly bear who was fed by the kissy kissy lady probably had to be destroyed by animal control officers because it would have become habituated to hanging around humans, stalking them and expecting to be fed.

This is all so cute....... Until its not.

At around 2 minutes a bear is nipping at the man's pant leg. He isn't actually trying to bite so much as trying to figure out what pants are. A relative worked at a wild animal sanctuary and some of the wolves were tame enough to pet through a fence, but if you were wearing gloves they would try to pull them off of you as if they were not supposed to be on you.

Feeding a Grizzly Bear! Isn't that illegal? As someone who has started spending time solo backpacking in areas known to contain bears I find it a little concerning that someone might teach a bear to approach people. I carry a horn and bear spray which I hope to never have to use. If I see a bear on the trail I want it to run from me. I know it can smell the food I carry, and I don't want it tot come say hello and decide to knock me down when I don't offer it porridge.
