Where the cats came from is easy. Vault 118 on far harbor. Theres a robot there tat has tons of burned remains of cats. If you look around you will find no dog/cat food. So i believe pearl released said cats onto the island. There are chickens and rabbits. It would be a sustainable ecosystem. Plus if you kill all the robots in vault 118, pearl comes rushing back to the vault to try to stop you. Otherwise pearl just sits in far harbor. Considering far harbor is really the only safe dock on the island and pearl bringing said cats to far harbor. Its not to crazy to think everyone would want one. Not to mention the same boat that brings you to far harbor. Has like 4 cats there as well. Mystery solved cats came from far harbor

I may be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that there was a civil war in vault 108, so with the massive loss of life, they decided to clone Gary. With each getting more aggressive than the next, they finally overtook the vault. To recap, more ammunition is because of civil war. And lots of female with 1 male already is a vault, so I don’t think vault tech would do that

I installed a classic vault suit mod in Fallout 4. Little did I know that a Gary was also included in it 😂 I was so shocked that he somehow managed to make his way into the commonwealth. I thought it was a really rare vanilla random encounter. I love this game. 😂
