Please take this as the compliment it is meant to be... you might want to reconsider your makeup routine because In my opinion, you look significantly younger without any makeup on.

I bought a Foreo bear mini a couple of months ago and was very pleasantly surprised by how healthy and glowy it left my skin after only a brief period of use (around a week). Having not tried any other microcurrent devices I don't know if this was down to the effect of the microcurrent or the T-Sonic massage. Anyway the effect was shortlived as i had to return it due to connectivity issues with the app. I'm very tempted to get the Ziip halo instead though I'm wondering if I'd miss the T-sonic massage that you get with the Bear mini! Unfortunately my purchase is on hold as i decided to try an RF device and ordered the Newa. I've been using it for a week (5 days) and i think I'm regretting my purchase (wishing I'd bought another microcurrent device). I'm obviously not expecting any effects from collagen induction yet but my skin just felt dehydrated after 5 days of use, and I'm fairly certain it's worsened a bit of pigmentation that had previously improved 🤦🏾‍♀️. I noticed you've stepped away from RF too and have similar goals to me (maintaining skin health) - how did your skin look/feel when you first started using RF?

I am one of the people who experienced facial fat loss from a microcurrent device. I used the Foreo Bear for about 2 years and my face became visibly flatter and hollower with every use. I thought it was lymph drainage at first. So continued using it (which was a big mistake!). I lost volume everywhere I used the device. I saw no benefits. No lifting, no toning, no improvement to skin texture. I had initially begun using it in my early 30s as a preventative measure as I was noticing the beginning of shadows in the jowel area. I was hoping for some lifting or slowing down of this getting worse. Needless to say, the opposite happened! I have also always had a very full, round face and it was like the device ate my face and completely changed my facial shape! My cheeks vanished. My buccal fat is gone and my temples are now deep and hollow. I went through 3 Bear devices and all 3 developed the same fault within a few months (the middle light not lighting up ypon skin contact - if this light is not on then the microcurrent is not conducting). And all three did give me little uncomfortable shocks at times. I used as directed. I have managed to rebuild my cheeks a little bit using Adipeau for 6 months, but it didn't work on any other areas of the face and my face has never been the same 2 years after discontinuing microcurrent. So, I would advise caution and say it does come with a risk of facial fat loss without seeing any benefits for some people. Until we understand why this is, it's a game of Russian Roulette with your face!

Your product reviews have been the most helpful to me, so thank you! I started using the EvenSkyn Venus because of your reviews, and I also use LED face and neck masks, Current Body's LED Eye Perfector and a NuFace Mini. Would you agree the Venus isn't needed with the other devices? It did nothing for morning puffiness, which was my reason for using it, so I may only be duplicating other treatments. I'm also going to drop the NuFace and use the Urchin because it includes sonic vibration. I'd like to keep it simple while covering all bases! (No RF for me.) Thank you for your advice! Kathy

I have the Foreo Bear. I love it. I already had the start of jowls. It has not made them disappear, but I do think it has helped to slow their progress. I have only ever used spray on mineral water and Aloe Vera. I like the wake up feel it gives me. I have used it for 2yrs and I am 72 years old and I receive complementary remarks regarding my skin!

Nuface did nothing for me.
Looking forward to hearing about Maysama Urchin.
I can definitely see the improvements on your face Clare, your skin looks so much more tighter, lifted and ......well, just so healthy, from when I first started watching your first video, so well done.

I've been using the NuFace Trinity for almost two and a half years now - just turned 71. I've been very happy with it. To be clear, it isn't a miracle worker. It also doesn't seem to have much effect on my wrinkles. It has, however, helped enormously with laxity just under my jowls, with a fold of skin that had developed between my eyes (now gone), and with some sagging in my cheeks that was causing the corners of my mouth to turn down, one side especially. It also helps with my eyelid sagging. It has a mild toning effect on the face muscles and gives my face a healthier color. The Trinity has five levels. It's not comfortable on my neck at the highest level so I use a lower level there and still get good results.
I certainly agree that if you are looking for wrinkle elimination, there may be better at home devices, and that if you're very saggy, you won't get dramatic results from the NuFace - but, based on my experience and that of at least some over 50s, that doesn't mean it won't help you.

It was my understanding that one always needs to use a conductive gel, ie one with minerals in it, when using a microcurrent device. And yet you said you've used one on a damp face and another with just hyaluronic acid. So how are we supposed to know which devices need the specialized microcurrent gels with minerals or simply use water or something like hyaluronic acid? I found this extremely confusing and hope that you will please clear this up. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing, Clare. I always enjoy how in-depth your videos are, so I've learnt a lot about my favourite modality as well. I personally do see a lot of change with my bear, I wasn't too keen on the nuface though. And I do agree, it's important to be realistic with our expectations, so if you've already got some significant sagging, it won't be as effective

Hi Clare. Thank you so much for this video. I had the Foreo Bear and found myself not using it because I couldn’t just pick it up and use it. I always had to use the app and, if my phone was downstairs or in another room, I would often not bother. In theory, once you’ve downloaded and registered the Bear, and set it up on the app, you should be able to use the Bear without the app but it never worked for me. I bought the Ziip Halo and I love it. I, like you, do the 4 minute workout about 5 times a week. I find it comfortable and very ergonomic whereas the Foreo Bear was less comfortable to hold in my hand. Thank you for the cheaper, alternative conductor gels/serums too. Some of the branded ones are very expensive. Great video, as always. 😊

The Zip was something I was intrigued by because of the Nano current which helps in a long term effect. However, I just could never afford it. But when the launch for the New Halo happened & beauty vlogger & Master Esthetician Penny Smith was getting a 25% discount for a package deal, along w/ the opportunity to do a 12 month payment plan, I took the leap. I hope to report back good results!

I haven't been faithful with my Nuface but I remember the first time I used it, I really saw a lift! But after that I don't think I experienced any other visible result. I am hoping you can do a video on this regarding sun protection. I don't think anybody has done anything like this. My question is about dark (black) clothing vs light clothing (white). Which one is better for sun protection? While I only know that black absorbs heat and white can deflect light, very limited knowledge, I really want to know the science behind it. I think this will be an interesting topic if you can get some derms speaking on this especially the Asian doctor you had on your show before. :)

Hi Clare, I have used micro current for about 10 years now, & love it because it has always made me look youthful. I started with the Tua Viso & the Tua Trend which only need water without the gel. I love them, & still have them. The NuFace didn't do much for me, but I had both, along with the mini. I have the NRGY that's made from Truth treatments with both micro current & EMS, ( a bit strong, but effective. I purchased the Myolift QT & it is fast & easy to use, & it works. But recently I purchased the Halo Ziip & absolutely love it, & use it every other day. But my holy grail is the MiTama, which gives you an instant facial for at least 2 days. You just apply a sheet mask & place your electrodes on top & sit back & relax. I love it, & will never be without it!!!! I also purchased the Jane Mann Lift probe that you can attach to the MiTama, or the Myolift Qt or the Pico Tone, (which I don't have), And the Lift probe does a wonderful microcurrent job too! I also use the Omnilux LED mask daily alternating with the Qure, that only takes 3 minutes. Microcurrent & LED keeps me glowing!!!!

I just don't trust your channel anymore! How can you say microdevices prevent wrinkles? How on earth can you measure that? By the way, Sandra Bullock has had surgeries, do you really believe that she even bothers to use a microcurrent device? As already stated, there are no trustworthy studies about microcurrent devices! They've been on the market for a long time and there is still no science backing the results up. I did have one, used it for one year and I didn't see any results.

I wasted money on the Nuface and I am really annoyed with myself!! I found it a total pain in the bum applying the gel and then using the device. I found it took longer than I had anticipated and it really annoyed my husband when I used it at night!!!! I gave it a go, religiously, for nearly a year, and saw no difference whatsoever!! So it now gathering dust!! I do love the CurrentBody LED mask that is so much easier to use - because I can get on with a few things around the house/or at work (from home!!!). I am interested in the new Maysama device, but I' wait til I see your interview with Bev first. These things are so flippin expensive and the research seems so scant that I often wonder if we are being sold a pig-in-a-poke!!!

Thank you so much. I did a lot of research before buying two different devices (one of which I gave to my 40 year old daughter). I mentioned this in comments back in December. The one I use and love is the Pico Toner. It is strong enough for the body. Not inexpensive, but it gives you some options. Case in point, the Pico Toner comes with metallic gloves, so no conductive gel is needed. You only need to wet the gloves. I purchased the options of the ANMA and wands, and for those items you do need to use a conductive gel. With the gloves, I can give myself a hand treatment while watching a movie with my husband. It is worth it just for what it has done with my hands! Now, as to your point about the skin/muscle jumping, you do not want this. With the Pico Toner, you can set the device at a low setting, and you can increase the power, as you need. Obviously, the thick knee skin will take a stronger power versus the delicate skin on the neck.

I use the Solarwave, which is sort of a combo of the evenskyn and red light one you showed. It's not much red light though, so I don't consider it a red light treatment and do that separately. It is really easy and pleasant to use, so I use it every morning between my water based serums and others. (snail mucin & SOD spray, then microcurrent, then Oneskin & sunblock).

Solarwave also has vibration, so good for Gua Sha. Only cost me about $75 on sale on Amazon. I have other devices, but this is the only one I actually use every morning for facial and neck toning. I would probably buy the Ziip if I was going to splurge on an expensive one, but looking at it, I just don't think I'd use it every morning the way I do the solarwave.
