It would be so great if Sony would release new apac camera with the 4k 120 fps and 10 bit.. I don't wanna go full frame.. I love to work with my sigma 18-35 and small prime lenses.. 🙄

hi, i was going to try to build my rig with Small Rig camera base plate 1674, with Rods 1051, Neewer V Mount/V Lock Battery - 150Wh 14.4V 10400mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Battery, CAMVATE V-Lock Mounting Plate Power Supply Splitter with 15mm Rod Clamp. Would that work? How do I get that to power the A6500? Can the v mount battery also power the screen? I cannot figure out what dummy battery to get to make this work. thanks!

i have an a6500 and would love to rig it up like yours. wondering, do you hear autofocus from the sigma lens? also, do you use a gimbal? can you put this rig on something like the zhiyun crane? or can you recommend some other gimbal?

Thanks for these tips. I'm building a rig for my a6400. Would you still recommend the sigma 18-35 or would a sony 18-105 with some sigma 16mm and 30mm primes be better?

Hi, are you still peaking the autofocus noise from the Sigma 18-35mm with the Rode mic mounted at the right of the camera as shown at the end of the rig?

do you know if this rig setup can work with Sony A6000? How is image stabilization on your video recording with this setup? Is it better than Gimbals?

Hi, great video! I tried finding the answer to my question in the comments but didnt see it. Can you elaborate some more from a comment at the end of your video - "you can greatly improve the battery and overheating by using Display DC Out." I am not sure what you mean by that, but I am very curious because I have had some overheating issues in the past! Thank you so much

Every video I see about monitors and Sony cameras is a joke. The main reason why anyone gets one is for shooting video and Sony doesn't allow you to view on an external monitor while shooting 4k, total waste. Called Sony and they said their engineers designed it that way. I guess my A7R iii will have to make way for the gh5s

I'm curious, you mentioned the Feelworld Master MA5 is supplied with a battery/charger, has this since changed? The product listing doesn't show those as included options. Great setup btw. I have a very similar setup for my Sony A6500 with the SmallRig cage and have ordered some of SmallRig's accessories for mounting an external monitor that you included in the video :)

I'm wondering...Doesn't getting all those fine gears on a compact camera defying the purpose of using a compact camera in the first place? The α7III is bulkier, granted, but not that much, and is more expensive, but not that much (not even twice the α6500), but it has a full frame sensor. You have both and compared them, so you're even better placed to judge, but if I had both, I would use the α6500 "naked" and only when I need to go light, and put all these gears on the α7III (I'm sure you do, with the exception of the base rig that is) when I can accomodate carrying all the bulk. This is nice for someone who only have the α6500/α6300 and can't afford/doesn't want stepping up to the α7III. Yet, so equiped, this compact camera no longer is compact at all. It's about as bulky all in all as the α7III equivalently equiped, and not that cheaper. What do you think?

great video but If may say, Why rig out a camera that will overheat? I shoot plenty of weddings where summer weather can be over 103f on any day. No way I could trust a sony. Reason why I got rid of the a6000. Moved over to Panny and never overheats even in 4k

Haha! I know the A6500 is a most excellent camera, but visually this almost looks like having a GoPro and outfitting it with extra gear for a couple of thousand euros. :)

Nice rig! I love my smallrig a6500 cage, i found the cold shoe extension alone transformed the handling so i can hold it comfortably all day long and i couldnt recommended a rig like this highly enough, even for just photos the cage and cold shoe adapter are worth it
