USP supplements are supposedly tested and follow procedures to ensure a safe/reviewed product.

Pharmaceutical or not. They are all at fault in this one. How many recalls and lawsuits happen. How much damage occurs in all of the pills or shot space is disgraceful. Bad advice is given on all fronts. Decide for you self and do you own research. Or find truly trustworthy sources. Mine is walmart. They can do no harm compared to Dr Whosidingit.irreversible

Vitamin D deficiency is actually pretty prevalent, specially if you live in a cold climate and don't get a lot of sun. Some stats below.
Pretty much the only supplement I take since it really is essential for you and fight off infections.

United States, 47% of African American infants and 56% of Caucasian infants have vitamin D deficiency, while over 90% of infants in Iran, Turkey, and India have vitamin D deficiency. In the adult population, 35% of adults in the United States are vitamin D deficient whereas over 80% of adults in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh are Vitamin D deficient. In the United States, 61% of the elderly population is vitamin D deficient whereas 90% in Turkey, 96% in India, 72% in Pakistan, and 67% in Iran were vitamin D

The pharmaceutical industry when
it gains control of your vitamins,
minerals, and herbs will take what
use to be affordable and make it
unaffordable They have been trying to do this in Europe for years.

You definitely bring up important information people should know before considering purchasing supplements, but the FDA doesn’t have the greatest history either. I think the FDA started out being a federal organization that used to protect people better, but it doesn’t have the best history either. Would you consider doing a segment on it to provide a counter perspective? There’s truth to both sides, and I think a lot of people just want balance between the two. Thanks for your videos!

More ppl are hurt by pharmaceuticals than by supplements , but supplements should contain their listed ingredients and should be tested for harmful ingredients as shown in the video. There are plenty of scientific studies that show efficacy for certain vitamins and minerals. Look up lectures by Dr. Thomas Levy on vit. C. for example.

I started this regime back in the mid 80’s and since then I’ve never had the flu and have had just a couple cases of a common cold. That’s it and I’m 74 years old. If you are going to make claims like this, you’d better make your claims specifically as some supplements are incredible efficacious !! You are not doing anybody a service otherwise !

The chicken tenders tuber is probably not deficient, meat contains way more essential nutrients than vegetables, which is why your expert specifically called out vegans.
Also chicken tenders (and the sauces used with them) pull from a wide variety of ingredients around that chicken.
Chicken tenders are coated in carbohydrates and spices and herbs.

Wait, aren’t we already supporting the channel by paying with our time receiving no tangible return, at least when compared to the sponsors, YT, and the creator. Everyone gets something tangible other than the most important part of the equation, which is the viewer who are the lifeblood that makes all of this work, the viewer is the one that the others cater to hoping for their attention which is very clearly worth something but unfortunately isn’t compensated for. The viewers only get the honor of giving our valuable time for free and possibly our money if adequately convinced to by the creator who is compensated by YT, sponsor, and often the viewer……

Listening to “science “, where essentially the scientific studies are there to debunk vitamins so that you don’t want to take supplements and you rely on their pharmaceuticals when you get sick. People for real need Vitamin D for immune response and also iron and lots of people now have gut damage and inflammation so a strong multivitamin changed my life. Collagen was life changing for me also. Sorry, Joe Rogan did a more honest report of this. Of course supplements work when you do your research. 😂

How exactly would you propose that FDA regulate the supplement market producers individually? Control each and every one's product? It's not feasible or practical and you know it.

The reason why lots of supplements don't have enough studies behind them, is that there's just too many of them out there. New ones are being found and tested all the time.
Naturally, when a supplement has a small effect or is highly dependent on the person's biology, its effectiveness is also harder to prove.

Is everything a scam now then because some companies dope their products? Because the quality is not perfect everywhere? Where exactly was the first mentioned study conducted? Literally no fucking references yet the video is filled with mentions of studies.

And tell me, who seriously thought taking vitamins would help you prevent CVD, cancer and death? This is ridiculous.
Vitamin D however, for example, has tons of studies proving its benefits, especially in northern latitudes. These benefits are usually related to quality of life things like bone health, depression, not something as extreme as "death". A deficiency of vitamin D has been attributed to several diseases. Do your own research on the supplements you are interested in and buy a well known quality brand, all while acknowledging the risks of taking a pill whose content you cannot personally test.

Wait, actually, you can order expensive tests from labs though and quality brands often post the lab tests conducted by independent labs as well. So where is the scam again? This is stupid sensationalism. Just because a supplement doesn't have as much studies behind it to prove its effectiveness as for example omega 3 supplements or antidepressants doesn't mean they don't work or have an effect. Whether the effect is strong enough or if it works for you, you won't know until you try. Lots of supplements don't have enough studies behind them or the claimed effects are nothing similar to what has been found in studies, sure. A good rule of thumb is to not bother trying anything that doesn't have randomized human control trials. There can be exceptions to this as well.

And as every supplement from the US has written on the package... "…Not Intended to Diagnose, Treat, Cure or Prevent Any Disease." Keep that in mind. Don't pretend that taking these at your own risk is some kind of news.

Can’t believe lion’s mane can be so bad for you, I tried it out for a couple of weeks to see if it would help out with college & definitely experienced a decent level of an increased heart rate as well as frequent headaches & panic attacks (likely related to the increased heart rate & headaches). I did some research into it & found that some people may experience allergic reactions while on it so I chalked it up to that but I’m not so sure anymore.

I've been clean from opiates since 2011. In 2018, I tried Kratom to help with years long back pain. I can absolutely attest... it is addictive! I wasn't sure if it was related to my pre-determined addiction mind, but the withdrawal felt VERY similar. I wrote it off, but this proved to me that it wasn't all in my head. I was able to wean myself off it last year and it was definitely much easier than opiates, something I never could taper without medical help.
