I didnt know that a Brave private window "is just as good as TOR".
ОтветитьChanged, thank you :)
ОтветитьThe real difference between google and the others, is that they are honest about tracking you lol. I guarantee the rest do to and just don't tell you. And settings don't mean sht. You have no idea whether those settings are even real. So id say use any browser because you'll never know either way.
ОтветитьTo me, the only problem with Brave is the Chromium-based one (which actually helps google with their monopoly on the browser space)
ОтветитьBrave is great but hardly customizable. hence I can't use it :/
ОтветитьGreat video! I’ve recently switched to Brave. The only thing I don't like is that it won’t keep me signed in no matter how many times I click on “Trust this Device” or “Stay signed in”. I always have to use my 2FA. That’s great security when signing into a new, unknown device, but not every time I close out the browser. I might try Firefox since I’ve heard its quite secure.
ОтветитьIf you are going to switch from Chrome to another chromium-based browser, just stay right there were you are!
You are not gonna do any difference as Google still controls the underline technology and their terms to use it can change at any time.
Bro yahoo keeps on showing up in my browser I tried everything and it is still showing up I know it is hijacked
Ответитьso what about duck duck go browser is it any good
ОтветитьThank you, sir, for providing elegant and useful content
ОтветитьShould I uninstall it chrome
ОтветитьDid I just miss the bit where you explained why I should be ditching chrome?
Ответитьi use edge
Ответитьis duckduckgo not a good alternative any longer or never was?
ОтветитьBrave is scam
ОтветитьI stopped using chrome ages ago as my main browser, I now use Vivaldi. I like the setup, syncing of tabs & settings etc and I can have my tabs down the side rather than along the top. Few videos like this one I've seen never seem to mention the browser... not sure why. not looked at brave, so might give that a gander.
ОтветитьIn my case, I use firefox cuz is one of the 5 browser bitdefender supports, it has saved me a couple times before so I'd preffer to stick with it
ОтветитьI use Orion by kagi, it's still in beta but it works very good. It's webkit based and it comes with all the privacy settings you need and it also supports chrome and firefox extensions!
ОтветитьFor unparalleled online privacy and security, look no further than UtopiaP2P web proxy. Our service offers unrivaled protection against online threats, from hackers to cybercriminals and snoops, keeping your data safe and secure at all times.
ОтветитьI'm a regular Firefox user, but for websites that don't work in Firefox, I use MS Edge as my Chromium browser. I have a variety of adblock and tracker-block extensions on both.
ОтветитьAnother Brave fan.
ОтветитьIf you actually have a high threat profile, depending on what for, you want to at least use tor, or maybe even run a browser on an ephemeral virtual machine.
Brave-tor is not properly secure because you don't have the same level of anti-fingerprinting. the point of tor is to look exactly the same, no matter who you are, so nothing stands out.
Brave, tor, and chrome here. In that order. Chrome is a necessity based browser for me.
ОтветитьI use Edge on the Strict setting, deleting cookies and history every time I close the browser. I use the DuckDuckGo extension on the desktop for added tracking protection, and the DuckDuckGo app tracking protection on Android.
I chose this setup for the ease of integration with Microsoft Authenticator and password manager. I used to use LastPass, but dumped it with all of the data breaches.
you forgot the epic browser
ОтветитьThe only time I use chrome is on my Android phone when the site I'm going to has a presite (I guess that'd be the right term) that says to go to the site I need to disable ad-blocker otherwise it's brave
ОтветитьI had Brave until my insulin pump said it on runs on Chrome, so I had to switch back. Aloha isn't bad. Until I find out how to run it on Chrome in the background, I guess I'm stuck.
ОтветитьI am a Edge guy
I am happy with that
*3 billion sheeps
ОтветитьYep I have brave chrome and edge
ОтветитьBrave sometimes needs link to get into website on Windows
I use edge to get the link amd then paste it in brave
I wish there was a Safari for Windows. Although Safari isn't as good as Chrome, it's still a great browser.
ОтветитьI use brave and tor. Brave because ads and trackers. Tor because i like to get high sometimes. Bout it lmao
ОтветитьI use Opera and FireFox for different systems. I've managed to wean most of my family off of chrome because Opera looks close enough to them like chrome and I've encouraged good behaviour using specific extensions to make their life easier and safer. They don't fully understand where I'm coming from but they didn't like knowing how they were being used in chrome. I have Vivaldi saved as a backup but thus far I've been happy with what I've been using.
ОтветитьAt work, I'm on a locked down system that only offers Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. I use Firefox exclusively (despite even my organization repeatedly championing only Chrome).
At home, it's LibreWolf and Brave.
The problem even with Chromium (the open source browser on which Chrome is built) is that it's still maintained exclusively by Google, and thus it enforces only Google's ideas about the web. A recent example of why this is bad is Google's axing of JPEG XL support in Chromium (and thus in all browser built on it), despite the entire rest of the tech industry (including Adobe, Serif, Nvidia, Netflix, etc.) championing the new format, supporting it themselves, and aiding in or voicing approval of its official support in Chromium. Still, even with the deafening support, the Chromium maintainers played dumb and said, "Oh, gee, there doesn't appear to be any support for this, so we're dropping it." And despite the significant backlash they receive about that decision, they went radio silent and, sure enough, it was removed in the next build.
Why do that? Well, Google didn't play a part in JPEG XL's development. They have, however, been key players in the development of AV1 (video) and AVIF (image). JPEG XL and AVIF are contenders, you see. So, Google actually pretended to play the part of an unbiased picker of winners and losers and axed support for a competitor rather than just supporting both (which they easily could have done) and letting the market decide for itself which format best fit each use case. That would have been the truly "open" thing to do (and Chromium is supposedly open source, no?).
I, for one, would love to see Brave (and others) migrate away from using Chromium as their base to using Firefox instead. Google's practical monopoly on the web desperately needs to be shaken to its core and broken up.
I can’t do video calls with Brave. Why? I have to uninstall the app to use my video call features. I can’t find a way to fix this. My phones battery dies fast with Brave. I wish they’d fix that too.
ОтветитьSo please tell me how you would know what I use please tell me.
ОтветитьWhat i hate is when websites i visit are like don't use a vpn, turn cookies on, disable pretty much all your security before entering.
ОтветитьI use edge but google still recommends chrome. I hate that pop up!!! Very annoying and don't know how to stop it permanently. Is there a way to stop it?
ОтветитьOpera GX is the best
ОтветитьI've been using firefox since it came out, and I remember people saying that chrome was better. They may had been right at the time, I don't know. But anyone saying it now are attempting to use their posterior to simulate vocal apparatus..
ОтветитьI use Brave, including different profiles (they act like separate browsers) for specific projects with it's own settings and extensions.
Ответитьbro really just forgot about ungoogled chrome
ОтветитьRightly said! Instead of using Chrome, I prefer the Logii browser. It helps me to run multiple social media accounts easily without getting fingerprinted by web giants. It also allows me to share my account without sharing passwords or OTP with my teammates.
ОтветитьI use Firefox with 8 extensions. Extensions for anyone interested: uBlock origin, Cookie Auto-Delete, LibRedirect, Privacy Badger, LocalCDN, ClearURLs, Redirect AMP to HTML, Firefox multi-account containers.
ОтветитьVivaldi seriously underrated
Ответитьyeah cause i dont like chromium im tryng to use not a lot of google
