OH I had the book of this as a kid!
ОтветитьThe eyewitness theme bit had me rolling and hit me straight in the nostalgia
ОтветитьGame theory: the future is wild is the unofficial prequel to splatoon
ОтветитьThis video introduced me to after man and I am thankful
ОтветитьIts wild that this vid is 3 years old, i honestly remember it like it was yesterday. Big thanks for making this video as it was an introduction to speculative Zoology!
ОтветитьYou telling me a bunch of nerds got together and tricked a big corporation into giving them a bunch of money so they could play pretend... that's adorable
Ответить👍🏿
ОтветитьI had no idea there was a manga...
Ответитьspeaking of times its warmer on Earth! Ice core samples show the temp worldwide was on average 8 degrees kelvin warmer then it is today... during the height of Rome! Thats right !! People used to be able to grow and cultivate grapes for wine in England !
ОтветитьThe best example of convergent evolution is the Cat from the show Red Dwarf
ОтветитьBilliam i dont know you and now that im finding your old videos im like.. wow i miss this dude! 😂 For real hope youre doing well, this is the content im interested in and you have me watching your videos on things I WASN'T EVEN INTERESTED IN because you do this so well. ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьThe creature on the thumbail is gross
ОтветитьI just discovered Billiam yesterday and I've been binge watching hard. We have so many of the same interests and his take is hilarious. He also shows that he's smart and has critical thinking. I love going down insane rabbit holes.
ОтветитьBrutal Orchestra?
ОтветитьWait….so Dungeons and Dragons Mind Flayers might actually become a thing?….welp glad I’ll be loooooong dead by then lmao 🤣
Ответитьevery prehistoric or fictional documentary always has that constructed feeling, like billiam mentioned with the poggles, but i feel like that gives it a charm. walking with dinosaurs, even ones covering specific dinosaurs like the allosaurus Big Al, are constructed stories based on what little evidence of a unique life one of these things had or will have. same goes for even more recent and accuracy based series like prehistoric planet. but also if i'm being honest, things like the future is wild that are fictional or monsters resurrected (which at times what it depicts is so inaccurate its basically fiction) is even more fun for the charm i mentioned
ОтветитьApparently, the reason they turn mammals into an afterthought is because it was difficult trying to animate fur. This is why I think After Man did a better job than this miniseries, you have many species descended from rats ALONE, never mind the stunning array of predator and prey descended from current-day mammals!
ОтветитьI remember watching the future as well, my parents let me stay up past my bedtime to do so, the first time I remember doing it, at least for one episode, we recorded the rest
ОтветитьI am 100% here for the squibbon and mega-squid. I was so fascinated by this episode I wrote an essay for it in 3rd grade. Idk how convinced I thought it was gonna become "reality," but my I think it shook my teacher enough (private school) that he wrote all these comments along the lines of how it wasn't gonna happen because it's just a TV show, and not to trifle with "God's creation" by believing in it. I guess I got as far as understanding it was just a TV show, but damn. Let me enjoy the imagination of it all. 🤣 I studied biology in college of course. '00s Christianity would be the first to stake me for the heresy. Animal Planet and Discovery did so much to get us interested in science. Even the nerdy fake shit 😭
ОтветитьThose look like Spore abominations.
ОтветитьI remember watching this when it premiered. I had to TiVo it 😂 I thought it was so cool
Ответитьthe reminds me of all tomorrows
ОтветитьTop tier photoshopping there, Billiam lol I enjoyed it very much.
ОтветитьBilliam, did you know the Torotaun, they sort of existed in Earth's history. Look up the big ol ancient tortoise called carbonemys (but I mightve misspelled it) but yea, man, check em out.
ОтветитьEh, i'm in love with you now?
ОтветитьDeep existential dread and arachnophobia fuel in one convenient package. Fantastic!
ОтветитьI miss Billiams mustache
ОтветитьI really loved this show but the last episode being nothing but squids was a massive letdown somehow. I get why it's the theory to go for. It's just boring.
ОтветитьSo this series is implying that spittoon is possibly Canon
ОтветитьMy friend teased me when we were kids saying that the Squibbons will be playing my GameCube in the future
ОтветитьLol they did the Mirelurks from fallout, mega squid!
ОтветитьMay not look good in 4k but looks great on my phone.
ОтветитьNow imagine my shock when for my entire life I thought The Future Is Wild was just the show about that girl time traveling then realize this video is about its grandpa instead
ОтветитьNah bruh thats a pelecat
ОтветитьThere might be documentary you may want to review Billiam, it’s similar style of CGI nonsense but is about life on another planet, sadly forgot what it was called but it might something worth reviewing.
ОтветитьI actually just found Man after Man at a thrift store in really good condition.
Billiam if you see this and want it I'll send it to you
So, wait. If Sharks and "Flish" are around 200,000,000 years in the future, doesn't that mean fish didn't die out?
ОтветитьThe CGI isn’t that bad
ОтветитьSomewhere in the depths of my mind are a few flickering memories from The Future is Wild. I most strongly remember the Flish (for being especially freaky with the alien style protruding mouth) and the squid swinging from trees. It's pretty funny looking back on it now. The scientists talking about the future evolved animals, the conditions that they evolved for, and their environments, gives me the same vibes as fakemon creators presenting their fakemon, but with more science and CGI.
ОтветитьWhen he did the photoshop on the lion and its cub 😂
ОтветитьMan after Man is what you get after the Qu
ОтветитьI feel like a show that had a very similar, yet completely different premise, that would be great to cover would be Life After People
ОтветитьI fell in love when I saw walking with monsters
ОтветитьHey if you see this comment, share the video with someone somewhere 👀
