My dad is about a year younger than Willie. I sent him links to this song, and many other Willie Nelson songs on Facebook. It's how we're relating to each other now. Dad is a big Bluegrass fan, and Willie's latest album is called... Bluegrass.

As a songwriter and singer for 58 years myself, few songs I hear make me stop to breath...and cry. I met Willie in Texas about the time I had just released to christian radio my 2nd and final record to date. Now that I've had a chance to breath....after all these years I'm ready to start again at such an old age. I'd like to think Willie's words to me had a small part in my current attitude and outlook. Thanks to you sir....That day in the shadow of the majestic monument to San Jacinto, you told me never give up. I haven't yet. I'm just breathing.

The video absolutely portrays something deeply emotional and when the imagery is coupled with this most wonderful song it is easy to forget this song had no visual when it was released and Willie covering it means he loves the original more than his own, that I’ll guarantee ya.
