Hiii 👋🏻 I’ve been trying to set up a WiFi printer to an Acer Aspire 13 laptop for a month and a half… same 2.4 GHz situation and a wifi mesh that has 3 boxes (Brand: Rock S place) Do I have to move printer, laptop or both?

so is the connection to the 2.4 mhz network only necessary to set the bulb up and after that it can be controlled by my mobile even if the mobile is either connected to the 5mhz channel or if im out of the house and using mobile data with the app?

Why don't companies who make these devices update to 5.0

So I switch to 2.4GHz, but still wont pair or connect with my fan. I'm totally flipped out.

I just purchased Eero mesh primarily for my Arlo cameras outside to have a better WIFI reach cameras are an epic fail.
ARLO tech says mesh and Arlo not compatible. That Arlo has to be plugged into
Main modem.
Any ideas?

Anyone know of a hygrometer that will run off Wi-Fi so I can check my temps when I am away from the house and still run off my 5ghz signal? Thank you for this video. I tried this with an InkBird temp/humidity monitor that was not connecting to my Wi-Fi. Buried in the FAQs I found the info on the 2ghz requirement. Unfortunately this technique did not work, even on the edge of my range. My router has both 5ghz and 2.4 ghz signals but there is no switch to change between the two. None of my other smart devices had this problem. Now almost at tue end of 2023, why is this still a thing? I would prefer the shorter, more powerful range of 5ghz with a smart device, or the option to switch between the two on the app that runs it.

If your phone won't connect to the 2.4 channel even if it is active, try to turn off cellular data, phones will sometimes just hop off the wifi if cell data is faster.
