How does wild Ginseng keep growing if it poisons its on dirt its growing from.
ОтветитьThey must use a lot of fertilizer. My 8 year old ginseng that is grown in the flower pot (in NYC,..check my video also....lol) is only 1/3 of the their size. They should test the flower pot method where it's hang above the ground. It'll double the output.
ОтветитьWHAT? Poisons the ground and cant replant ginseng? Then why is it that you MUST replace the seeds in the wild so that new plants grown? Because it DOESNT "poison" the ground. I'd say in a FARM setting its due to the ginseng pulling most of the calcium from the soil and other crops dont require the calcium that ginseng does. And since you are planting so MUCH of it in a small area but in the WILD there is still enough calcium to sustain regrowth.
ОтветитьI guess the better question is.. is hydroponic ginseng possible?? Or has it already been done?
ОтветитьHydroponic ginseng is possible. It is very difficult and requires a extremely controlled greenhouse with an incredible hydroponics system. It also cuts the harvest time down dramatically around 2 years if you use rooted cuttings. You also need to pull the plants the first year of growth store them in a large freezer and replant again for the second year after 14 weeks of dormancy. Gives you the same size root as a 6 year old soil grown. Proper harvesting and drying techniques are crucial not like this guy is harvesting them. The demand is HUGE! The prices will surpass gold prices in the very near future. The rare wild Chinese almost extinct ginseng can fetch up to $5000.00 a OZ. yes I said OUNCE. A hydroponic operation would cost into the millions to develop. Plus loss of getting the whole thing dialed in for success.

Ответитьwonder if this is something you could grow indoors in a multy level building. Cover a concrete floor with dirt and straw, then wash or haul the dirt away after the harvest and lay down fresh dirt. No need to find a new field to grow in

ОтветитьAs usual bigger farms will take away the livelihood from wild harvesters.
Ответить4 years? That's a long time to harvest. I am assuming other 4 crop plantation can be harvested every year
ОтветитьDon't they have to worry about people stealing this stuff?

Ответитьits hard out here for a Ginseng pimp....
when all my plants have done gone limp.....
Think about using microbial fertilizers, particularly Bacilus subtilis bacteria and Trichoderma micorhyza.
They suppress diseases and increase the growth by increasing absorption of nutrients and production of hormones.Root crops are particularly known to have high amount of endoscopic symbionts and increase the growth by bacterial fertilizers. Plus you can get "Organic" crop which usually worth double the conventional.
The other idea might be growing them under the canopy of other fruit/timber existing trees.
because its really good for you, it has a lot of health benefits.
