How to connect Xbox Series X / S Controllers to the Nintendo Switch

Make sure you are using the 8Bitdo Wireless Adapter 2 (Newer Version) like the one linked in the description. Some of the newest versions actually have a "2" stamped on the adapter itself. Mine does not.

Could you use the adapter that Microsoft sells to connect your controller to a pc?

Bought the adapter, changed the setting in the switch, pushed the buttons to pair the controller to the 8bitdo adapter, got the vibration but it wont work.

For the Xbox controller does it keep the Nintendo mapping? IE, B is A and A is B?

I tried using the Nintendo pro controllers but they still feel cheap. But overall I game on my Xbox controller because honestly the quality of it is so amazing. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I would use my ps5 controller but it’s still feels cheap and excessive bulky but I honestly wouldn’t mind since it’s a very sexy controller and it looks nice on display next to my old switch.

Hi, just got the adapter and when I tried to connect I felt the controller vibrate and there is a blue light on the adapter but when I move or press the button in the controller nothing happens on the screen and shows not connected? Is because I’m not connecting it to pc but to has my dock to a tv? Anything I’m missing or solution? Thanks
