we used to make this exact rocket using white glue instead of hot glue
and match head powder instead of the zinc mix.

Wouldn't it be easier to pull pen nib out then poke a metal skewer to poke out the stubborn end? And spray paint it so will help to see it. Really cool video though!

If you look closely at the slow mo, There are holes in the side of the pens that will let pressure out the side and make it go sideways

If baking soda or something Is miked with the fuel it could make the reaction slower and longer

Maybe put another piece of straw as guide close to the tip of the rocket to avoid it going crazy?

Larger fins could prevent the rocket from disappearing from sight.

The problem here is getting zinc powder and sulfur

Is there any other fuel mixtures or just other ingredients for fuel?

The pen plastic doesn't melt with heat, how it's possible😕😟

Looks like the flights are burning, I would love them up about 1/2 an inch and that should help. A piece of another pen should help replace the need for a straw.

I'd paint the fins (or entire rocket) in fluorescent paint to find it easier. Way cool project for sure!
