I did d mine yesterday I re-pasted my slim with MX-4 and replaced the thermal pads with K5 Pro man it runs buttery smooth now no more frame drops etc.., after only 3 years of use there thermal compound was dry and hard just sad and there was barely any on there and it was missing 4 thermal pads from the factory good job Sony

The sad thing is, my PS4 runs much cooler and all I did was add a 120mm PC cooling fan to the casing so it pulls heat off the console with some double sided tape and I spliced the fan to a USB connector to keep it running all the time. It's almost 6 years old and still runs silent and not hot, even with demanding games.
