i am developing tutor app how to encrypt video and play it as it encrypted or decrypted but decrypted file not to be view by users so please help i need your help

Hey, I really appreciate the content. I am creating a messaging app ATM. I am able to successfully encrypt and save the messages on the database. The problem I am facing is that when I try to decrypt the messages how do I get the key which is required for decryption. If I save it on the database, then the encryption wouldn't mean much. Should I save the key on both the sender's and the receiver's devices using shared preferences.
