I appreciate the message in this video. I will take a grungy looking film with a great storyline over a film made with a an expensive Red camera with top of the line high end features that are not needed to begin with. Your video has ended the film vs digital debate. Both are great formats but we need to focus in the bigger picture. You have earned a new subscriber.
ОтветитьEveryone (regardless of what field they are interested in) should spend 10 minutes and watch this.
ОтветитьDamn this was powerful.
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьWow .. what passion .. you almost pulled a tear out of me and this is coming from a guy raised in a culture of machismo ... message received and approved... well done amigo ... Gracias !!
ОтветитьIt's completely true what you say. I am an artist who was highly educated at an art academy. I now make cartoon/pop art type art. What matters is creativity combined with who I am. That's what fans of my work want to see. I have never been as successful as I am now.
Ответить"Use it up, wear it out! Make do... or do without!"
Ответить2COOL Markus, the craft of understanding the "Craft". The no-nonsense keeps me returning
ОтветитьInspiring.
ОтветитьDang Markus well said homie, I felt that
ОтветитьI did a grad shoot for an athlete once and needed a snoot since I only had a wireless Yongnuo speedlight to light him. I needed a snoot to avoid spill and give a sharp outline and ended up going into the school gym, got a flyer and used some gaff tape I always keep on me to create a last min snoot. This speaks to me on so many levels, especially since I feel so inferior to all the new and latest tech, while I am still hanging onto up to 10 year old tech and using it proudly. Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat, great, message! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьOh my goodness - this is what I needed to hear - thank you! Wish you had a videography course!
ОтветитьI started in 1978 with B&W (vast DR) and Slides (slim DR) but when the OM-4 with up to 8 averaged spot readings was released, slides became time consuming but trivial. I mostly shot E6 for home basement development but, even with B&W, I kept the ISOs (ASAs) from 64-125 for the IQ. Anyway, these days I shoot raw for the IQ. Why not? It doesn't make up for my lack of creativity but allows me to believe that I do the best that I can do.
ОтветитьVery inspiring. I needed to hear that . Thank you so much .
ОтветитьMarkus, I know you will not see this comment, but I wanted to thank you for this video! I started shooting with a Brownie camera as a kid and read everything I could on photography! Thank you for talking to the artist in everybody and telling them to take chances!
Ответитьtools are tools.... nobody with any sense goes into a cinema in order to pick out what kind of gear was used. thats insane.
ОтветитьI wish Hollywood would readopt this approach to its filmmaking.
ОтветитьWow inspiring thanks I loved it
ОтветитьDude, nice Lotus Esprit reference, that was ALWAYS,y dream car growing up in the 80’s and how they were only 4 cylinders!🙏🏼🙏🏼
ОтветитьI watch this like at least once a year when I don't feel motivated
ОтветитьBest insight ever
ОтветитьUr paintings look better than it photos ! 🎨
ОтветитьJustin ? Bieber ?? Damn
ОтветитьSo inspiring
ОтветитьAll i have to say it's just... thank you for making this video, Sir.
ОтветитьI love the spirit here! My observation after doing photo-video-graphy for a while is that there is one task with three necessary elements: The one task is to record something people want to look at. In order of importance, the first, most important element is the subject or scene. You need something people want to look at -- for whatever reason. There's no making a silk purse from a sow's ear, no matter what technique or equipment you use. The second element is lighting. The subject needs light of some kind so they can see the thing they want to look at -- and the thing they want to look at just might be the way it's lighted. The third element is the "recorder", which doesn't need to be fancy. There are different recorders for different purposes, and a mid-level recorder can handle most needs as long as elements one and two are in place.
ОтветитьWhere were you getting E6 processing that fast?
ОтветитьI never knew you make a film, just looked it up, it looks AWESOME 👍
ОтветитьTell this to everyone in the music industry
ОтветитьGreat video! Technology I think caused filmakers to loose sight of the art of film making. Example: I felt star wars fell victim to this with cgi. The first two were the best, and stood the test of time, even though they are decades old.
Ответить👍
Ответитьthank you finally someone who approve i know what i want to do and somehow i know i will
Ответитьso i really do not need to upgrade to full frame or even super 35 just proper lighting and better sound and even 8bit record should be enough > somehow i know it will with gh4
Ответить你是非常傑出的攝影大師及藝術創作家,Even your personalty is so great🎉
