It just doenst work for me. Tried bios change. Tried vantage cooling mode. Tried a new engery plan making max cpu usage 48%. I'm literally sitting here, about to punch through this thing. Please help me.

windows still has no intelligence on automatic limiting. Otherwords they still can't DETECT the max usage required per APP thus we have to manually tweak. Sucks imo. The cpu should throttle automatically down.

Fingers crossed this will work on my RTX 4080 laptop because the noise really annoys me even with all the applications turned off it's breathing.

pay 2000 dollars for laptop and lock cpu on 20% of performance. Each time you need to change power profiles etc. Lenovo idiots cant optimize laptops. Never more lenovo, Enough

Thanks so much for this - tt worked instantly on my Lenovo laptop, which has been driving me nuts! I don't understand quite why this can't happen automatically, ie why the CPU doesn't draw as much power as is needed, rather than running constantly at full blast, but I'm very grateful for this fix. I set mine to 48%, as per your video. I might try increasing the % to see at what point the fan kicks back in. Or there again, I might just leave well alone!

Oh my god dude you're a life saver😭 my laptop has gone super quiet 😭 and seems a little bit faster. I can work on this PC now, and actually focus without the noise. I was even considering getting a new pc. It helped. Now will this bake my processor? I'm scared.

it is not solution because when you have reduced cpu power percentage then you have reduced total cpu hz and in this case why you want to buy more powerful cpu if you have to reduce your laptop total cpu hz .

That's no fix, just chemotherapy. The fans make unjustified noise for the cpu % usage, it's way above normal and refuse to stop also. I have a P52 that works great and a new P15 gen2 workstation that sounds like a train, same wattage on both, 45 watts for cpu and 45 watts for gpu.

could it mean that the cpu would be underpowered when you set the limits to 48%?

I tired 49 but didnt worked then swit hed on 48 and worked also it had weird things sometimes it would stop but start like jumpscare

This was an automatic result, in my case the power plan was Balanced, and as soon I clicked "Power saver", the fan went silent. I did reduced the Maximum processor state to 85% to observe the effects in the next few days. Thank you!

65% was good enough for me to not have a loud fan
