Good documentation and easy to understand log files are absolutely crucial for troubleshooting, using "man *" and "tail -f /var/log/*" for example is something I really miss in the Microsoft world...

Scary to see how many login attempts there are with the lastb command on a standard Linode server - I'm glad I've got it all locked down with public-key only access!
