ОтветитьI live in LA and was there last week checking out Rotterdam and the Market Hall . My favourite was the Sate' Lounge because I love peanut sauce. Lots of interesting foods to try and the building is very impressive too.
ОтветитьLiterally the most authentic restaurant is around the corner lol

ОтветитьThis seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!

ОтветитьI am lactose (dairy) intolerant too… so I always carry LACTASE chewable pills with me so I can enjoy cheese and other products with milk. :)
ОтветитьDutch food is a joke. Only snacks and fast food.
ОтветитьI think you better go to Belgium for good food :)
ОтветитьBitterbal should be eaten with mosterd! Not mayo. Loved this, have to go there sometime.
ОтветитьOMG you guys are in the Netherlands! I stayed in Delft which is 12 minutes away. The weather was not great when I was there either. Rain almost every day. But the Dutch are very open and direct people, VERY different from Japanese...
ОтветитьWhat a great video, thank you! Esther and Tamara are very good hosts, and Shinichi and Satoshi are so polite and polite. I'm Dutch myself, but i live in Indonesia, next month i will go with my wife and kids to Holland for the first time in 10 years and we are definitely going to this excellent market place. Thank you for the great video!
ОтветитьThis video was delightful, I learnt so much. That is the most amazing market concept I have ever seen. I wish I could travel like you guys, it is my dream, At least you let me experience the world through your eyes. Thanks to Esther and Tamara for the wonderful explanations and to you two guys for taking me along with you. As always, Cheers, Muffy from Oz (Australia)

ОтветитьIf you're going siteseeing. Don't forget to hop on tram 21or 24 to Schiedam. To visite the 5 largest windmills in the world. (And maybe taste some real ketel1 jenever) 😊❤
ОтветитьWhy couldn’t Satoshi have beer is it illegal or something
Ответить'Pepernoot' which translates to 'pepper nut'. Due to its 17 th. century original Dutch South African settlers recipe. Yes, back in the day there was pepper and pepperish like spices inside. They ate them while having beer and coffee.
The Rijksmuseum and pastry chef Cees Holtkamp of Amsterdam did a study into its origins. A couple different recipes in old VOC (United East Indies. Co.) documents showed more light on the origins of the 'pepernoot'.
It could be possible that the Dutch have their way of conserving 'haring', herring, from the Japanese! ...or the other way around. But that's debatable because conservation foods with salt is as old as human kind.
ОтветитьEsther and Tamara really gave you a great tour! Good Job! It is so nice to see you guys here in the Netherlands!!
ОтветитьNoordzee garnalen 6.95 per gram???😂😂😂😂😂

ОтветитьYay, glad you made it to Rotterdam!
On the outside of the Markthal are a Japanese curry shop and a ramen shop, would be fun to try that out for comparison. Inside are an all-you-can-eat sushi shop and Asian supermarket.
Close by are also a small Japanese specialty shop (Pannekoekstraat) and Japanse themed store (Nishi Market at Meent)
Too bad you weren't there on a Tuesday or Saturday when they have the big market outside on the square.
What an amazing market hall! Your Dutch pronunciation is getting better :D
ОтветитьHope you brought home some speculaas biscuits.
