Tape is able to protect from corona?? I'M CALLING CHINA!
It was great working with you, Jay!
Soooo are you going to actually show the thing youre making and show, idk, a demonstation or something??? We got like 3 clips of sparks coming off a doorknob. ^slow clap^
ОтветитьDo u have the instructions for this online ?
ОтветитьHi jay love the channel, I am building the arc lighter Tesla coil and wondering what zen or diode your using hope you can help cheers and keep up the good work 👍
Ответитьcan low voltage tesla coil be invented ? think its the great challenge for you ?
ОтветитьHi, do it's possible to generate more voltage with this Tesla coil... Like 70 or 80kV please!? If so, could you please explain how...
ОтветитьWhere to find this isolator between primary and secondary coil ?
Ответитьfor one of your projects you need to figure out a reason that you need Integza to 3D print a tomato for you
Ответитьpathetic at best
Ответитьpathetic at best
ОтветитьHello, can i use 0.1mm wire? Or maybe 0.3mm? I can only find that on amazon.
And can i use high voltage module for that instead of arc lighter? It cost less and is more powerfull
Is it necessary to use a diode
ОтветитьSo why eould my electric motor blow the capacitor?
ОтветитьI’m boutta get the biggest fucking A in my engineering class now
Ответитьin your video i did not see the diode? can someone explain? am i losing it?
Ответитьwhy is the diode necessary and why is it rated so high like 100ma is that necessary?
Ответитьmake a Georges Lakhovsky MWO (multiwave oscillator)
ОтветитьSubscribed liked and shared your welcome 😁
ОтветитьIf i remember right the CPL has a 3D printer even classes on how to operate the printer gotta get in line though its cool you were fun to watch thanks .
ОтветитьThe coil of wire is made of ?
ОтветитьHigh voltage insulation is electrical tape?
Ответитьuse cutters for the nails
ОтветитьWow! Superb! I just wonder how did you figure out the secondary dims/turns... Were you looking for a given resonance frecuency...? Thanks for your great and funny vids!
ОтветитьI don't have all this stuff down yet of the electrical components that go into these builds but I do know the
basics in theoretics
Hey Jay this is Jay what do you think can be done with a magnetic field Sputtered on glass globe filled with neon gas with the right Driver set up mosfet-transistor high voltage plasma do you think we could make it dance by applying alternating frequency and current on separate sputtered Plains or axises integrated on the glass globe sputtered with like copper I'm just thinking outside the Globe thinking on how to spice up back Mac size toroid experimentation do you think that😅 making a plasma toroid dance with the proper applications is plausible?????
ОтветитьI know a few people here on campus making these. I know one girl doing her thesis on Nikolai Tesla. Oh yeah I'll be MIT class of 2025. Not my major but I throughly enjoyed watching. Thanks for putting.
ОтветитьI absolutely love it. I want to build one as soon as I have Tomy
Ответитьone BY255 diode would work?
Ответитьhello, could someone say to me what the final amperage is?
ОтветитьHELLO I'M TRYING TO DO ONE OF THOSE, AND I WANTED TO KNOW IF A CAPACITOR WITH 2000V INSTEAD OF 3000V WORKS THE SAME OR AT LEAST SIMILAR COULD SOMEONE AWNSER THIS FOR ME?
ОтветитьGreatest thing about this video for me is seeing Jay spill his tea when he is thinking of something else. “Great minds spill alike.”
ОтветитьCowboy coffee. I love it
Ответитьthat is good
ОтветитьHi Jay. I'm building your 50Kv arc lighter Tesla coil. I opened the lighter, but it has two pairs of high voltage wires. Should I only use one pair, or is there a way to use both pairs? Thanks in advance.
I'm so keen to finish this project.
Cheers,
Wayne
where can I buy a larger one?
Ответитьcan i order this from you?
ОтветитьYou could turn it into a Tesla gun
ОтветитьCan you help my sons science project? Wiring is not correct. I sent Jay a video to Facebook and Instagram. Thank you
ОтветитьIf you put the ground of the tesla coil circuit near to the knob shaped top of the tower rather than your hand, would the corona discharge go into the ground the same way it goes into your hand? Would it damage the tesla coil since you are essentially shorting to ground?
ОтветитьWith spark gap transmission lines one could still transmit high current high voltage using towers and lines
Ответитьhow did you attch wires and everything with the power source. you kinda rushed past that part
ОтветитьDoes spacers need to be nylon or it's just as they're sold ? Could I print my own in ABS or PLA for exemple ?
Thanks for the videos btw
GENERAL NOTES FYI:
**The HV cap 667-ECW-HC3F392JD can ship immediately but with cut leads which you can still use. The one called out, without the "D" suffex is out of stock.
For the HV PS - I used the Harbor Freight Bug Zapper and it's TO92 transistor - D965 good for 5 Amp collector current, at 3 volts input, the output was 5.8 KV, using a 4.5 volt input the output was 7.4 KV.... The swatter HV PS only draws ~ .6 amps for either 3 or 4.5 volt input.... Outputs will vary with each swatter, so it is good idea to build/use a HV probe....
*I ordered/ used 580-MHR0424SA108F70 - 10KV rated 1000M ohm, (1 Gig ohm 1.4 W) resistors and these work nicely for a high voltage probe. Use 5 in series for a 500 to 1 probe, (500 to 1), (or use 10 for a 100 to 1 probe at a 100KV rating.... ****Important - These ratios are with using a "better" DVM with a typical 10 Meg ohm input resistance....***
**AND, the very hard to find TO92 heat sinks are listed at Mouser - 532-575200B00 $1.05 each.... This will help the D965 transistor dissipate the heat much better than without using one and will let you use a 4.5 volt input power a bit more safely without overheating.... Make sure to still use a GOOD thermal grease....
These general notes may help with others in building their own mini Tesla Coils.... Mine is cranking out solid 1 inch "bolts" and when the TO92 heat-sinks arrive I will operate with extended run times to test.... I'm having a blast.. BE SAFE.... USE ONE HAND ONLY around HV....
I want to build for a school project. My question is how did you have 2 AC Output wires if there are 4 in the lighter? How can I prevent overheating?
ОтветитьCan you send me how it's wired up actual picture of it please and thank you
ОтветитьHey man love ur videos, Awsome builds and great craftsmanship - I ordered the supplies to make one of these - but I’m already thinking about once I get working ,getting a glass bowl/ globe and maybe some acrylic for the base and making some feed throughs a so i can put it under vacuum and hopefully get an even cooler effect with it - I’d love to hear ur thoughts- thanks and keep up the great work!
ОтветитьSo small, to power a light, this model needs to be so large.
All the scam videos about a infinity coil, (Tesla) making your home, OFF GRID by one tiny infinity coil is all a bunch of BS.
this is 50,000 volts and barely 1 in arches.. Barely lit a tiny florescent bulb.
Consider size to power just 1 regular standard size light bulb for a home.
Jay, Thanks for all your hard FUN in these presentations. With your "Bug Zapper" TC you did not use a HV diode in the circuit??? Can you please explain WHY it seemed to work or maybe, it could it have worked "better" if a HV diode was used? Thanks for your reply.... Hank P.S. IF the lighters output is a pulsed HV DC, then what does the HV diode do? Thanks again.
ОтветитьHow continuous is that arc lighter?
