Do the polar bears just a ancient animal and they ain’t about no bullshit. They’re not weird there’s nothing weird about them. They are just down to fuck shit up because they have to live in a hostile environment. They are not hostile the environment they live in is it’s not the green valley where they have an abundance of animals they have to worry about wolverine, there’s a lot of stuff going on up there.

Elaborate guesswork storytelling revolving around the myth of evolution. In reality, the bear kind had more genetic variability in the past than today. The original bears with enormous genetic variation adapted into the many species of bears we see today, including polar bears. Some went extinct. So, far from evolving, they are actually degenerating due to mutational load, or genetic entropy. This is the opposite of evolution. Things are going down, not up.

The latest consensus on the timing of the split between brown bears and polar bears suggests that they started to become distinct species about 1.3 to 1.6 million years ago. This estimate updates prior assessments made by some of the same scientists. Not 350k to 500k years.

I'd imagine developing webbing between the toes is a pretty easy evolutionary feat. I imagine this because some of my toes are webbed!

Polar bears terrify me! Those huge noggins.... All muscle. They are just pure killing machines.
Interesting thing about them as well..that makes me happy. Their populations are sky rocketing! Go figure...the radical left got it wrong..again! Shocking...I know. Yes, regardless of all this runaway temps and hottest years ever (using temp readings in urban areas with heat island effect to pad or...lie...about the stats).
No...they haven't learned to adapt to the changing climate (the climate is constantly changing) or become better swimmers. Haven't had to cause...ice is still there and fluctuating like it always has year to year. No...Polar Bear Hunting was more restricted. Go figure.... again. Their populations have been growing so much..they are coming into towns in Alaska more often and becoming a serious threat. Local police have to constantly patrol, shooting flash bang shots, to keep them outta town so they don't eat people.
So ko...climate change isn't making this amazing Apex predator extinct. Thats a funny thing about the Apex species. They tend to adapt better...when everything around them..is just food lol. Lets be honest here....polar bears were used as propaganda by the people who hate society, hate human and think socialism is a great idea... Cause polar bea4s make cute stuffed animals. Coca Cola figured that one out too. Just more propaganda by people that don't actually give a damn about the climate or interested in finding real solutions. No, they only care about power! Nothing more... nothing less.
The climate is changing. Always has...always will. Humans impact it..just like ever living organism impacts its environment and ecology. But... The solutions they propose has zero to do with climatez zero to do with carbon...the gas of life! Its about controlling economies and the unwashed masses! In other words..its all politics and no science!

So what are the odds of catching 9 mutations that just happen to be so incredibly advantageous and not destructive like the vast majority of mutations.
And how incredible is the DNA programming that it allows for such massive adaptation and variations, so much that a "new" species was declared.
New genetic information has to be added if it was not in the original code.
What is the difference between "selection" and as you say "extreme selection." What is the mechanism and driver for extreme selection.

I do not think polar bear are bizarre. Really, it is not relevant in the science discourse. This is about your personal taste. Be careful, personal biases are the worst enemy of science!

It's actually not that surprising a bear is able to adapt to a water environment so quickly. The closest mammalian relative do the seal and sea lion are bears.

Something you didn’t mention is how they have adapted the ability to reduce reflection from the sun on the ice. When you look at a massive ice sheet and it’s glistening like a flashlight on a mirror and you won’t be able to see anything out there, but polar bears have some sort of extra layer on their eyes that eliminates that reflection so they can see everything. It helps them stay hidden and hunt because their prey can’t see them because of the reflection, but the polar bear can always see it’s prey.
