Much love for Mexico! I really appreciate how they value family as well as their friendliness to invite a new person to hang out or even come over for dinner!
BTW, as for another con that would be quite a few barking dogs!
It's inhabitable. Too much crime, no infrastructure, poor health system. Food is good but it's very contaminated, no hygiene or control
ОтветитьWork US and Live Mexico, many people in Baja doing that for life,,
Nobody looked for Tourist Card for last 4 decades in my case in Baja.
Nothing changed, Still using US bank cards, US Car with US Number plate..
no hassle living in Baja
thanks for your advice i needed it thank you living in vancouver bc is killing me
ОтветитьBackground music is annoying... irritating and distracting. Otherwise, great information and spot on.
ОтветитьGreat video. Balanced.
ОтветитьIMO the best reason to live in Mexico is the people.
ОтветитьIt is quite amusing to hear over an over how these americans want and like to use the word primitive, like people in other countries are the savages when they destroy entire countries with their wars. Fun fact!!!
ОтветитьNo....the weather is NOT PERFECT in central México. México city..Queretero and San Miguel de Allende are oftentimes 5c 42f? In the mornings and then 32c ...90f plus in the afternoon . There us no central heating...and aircon is becoming not as scarce.
ОтветитьMade a Mexico stop off.
Got my big head chopped off.
The end.
Terrific video, very nice voice and well paced with engaging images. saves
You also answered a lot of my questions and curiosity.
We relocated to Morelia, Michoacan two years ago. Only got sick eating once, just after our arrival, in Mexico City.
I too have NEVER had any issue with law enforcement, and always feel safe. My wife is Mexican and I'm from Reno, Nevada.
A month after we got here, I suffered a stroke. I had surgery for a brain aneurysm. It was VERY affordable, even when paying out of pocket. The medical care was excellent!
Loud celebrations are prevalent, but it's the way it is, cultural.
I had promised to bring my wife to be close to her family. It's proven to be the best move of my life!
VIVA MEXICO 🇲🇽
Avoid pork.
ОтветитьExcellent video 👏. I watched few of your videos and the content is outstanding based on my experience. Thank you. 👏😀❤️
ОтветитьDo not eat pork.
Get to know locals. And order groceries etc. Online for home delivery
My local friends brings me takeout, and anything from the mercado etc.
I thought it was dangerous to drive between US and Mexico due to narcos controlling the Border region. Even the well-off Mexican folks I was talking to had switched to flying to US.
ОтветитьI want to go to Mexico to visit I like to be by the ocean
ОтветитьVery interesting, thanks for the pros & cons living in Mexico! Overall, living there amongst the humble in my opinion, weights positive as opposed to living in the US! Will subscribe!
ОтветитьWhere are the Wheelchairs ? I'm hearing retire retire retire but I've yet to see a video of multiple people in Wheelchairs or using Walkers?? Where do Expats living in Mexico whom have Strokes or Heart attacks go? Why don't I see all the Grey Haired Balding Crippled up folks being pushed in Wheelchairs? Because statistical analysis says most don't live into their 70's most are lucky to make 65 hence the push to retire at 50 or 45 even then I've met many a pencil pusher crippled up at 50 they let their bodies go and don't have the energy to do anything, except Viagra is openly available at Super Market's lol...
ОтветитьStay away from drugs and just use common sense. And you will be fine
ОтветитьGreat vid, on my path to slow travelling the world. Looks like we will be starting in Mexico
ОтветитьVery well done narrative. Thanks
ОтветитьHave you very been in Mexico Estado de México?? At the north area as Cuautitlan Izcalli as invest to retired , it is so close from Mexico city and have everything to give the american retired people good quality life...m
Ответитьthis guy is completely downplaying the crime, and the disease issues in mexico.
ОтветитьGlad that you mention the cons. Most videos show the nice part of analysts
ОтветитьThanks for a nice video !
ОтветитьI now have second thoughts on Mexico. Visa, even tourist visa's, citizenship requirements have all changed drastically. Check the new requirements for 2022
ОтветитьI left the USA at 79 to Queretaro, Mexico, because USA became too deadly and expensive. I was not going to pay my entire pension for an apartment, that <i had lived almost 24 years. I did buy a house, that was robbed and burned down. We need to send the greedy and the criminals to wars all over the world, with toy guns.
I have been visiting and living in Acapulco for over 60 years. I love Acapulco, but too many earthquakes. In 2021 at 79, I moved to Queretaro for a safer, less expensive, and cool weather,
My GF and I plan to slow travel like you guys in 2023. I hear stories (especially Mexico City) of immigration officials recently NOT granting 6mo stays for visitors and having travelers justify why they need the full 6mo in Mexico. When you went through immigration, what story did you tell them? ("Oh, we're just slow traveling and we want to see as much of the country as we can!" or "We're considering applying for a temporary and then permanent residency here and we want as much time as possible to check out many cities." etc. ) And did you purchase a round trip ticket 6mo that returned 6mo after your arrival to "prove" to immigration you needed the full 6mo? Many thanks! EDIT: just watched the entire video. Is it your understanding immigration is only cracking down on visa runs and just coming for 6mo in the beginning is no big deal? Still interested in what you told immigration. Thanks!
ОтветитьGo to Santa Fè and Interlomas in Mèxico City o and Lomas de Chapultepec , only wealthy .mexicans live there apart from the noisy streets and comercial areas .
ОтветитьJust huge NOOOOOOO .... I lived there for 4 years and traveld all ove the last 25 years , huge no . I can think of a dozen better places .
ОтветитьWhat is your residency status? I assume the ambulance and ER being free were due to you being residents, and they would have cost money if someone were just on a long-term tourist visa?
ОтветитьThis guy does a great job narrating this episode, but there are a couple of tells that indicate English is not his native language 🤔
ОтветитьShould be a mass exodus to there.
ОтветитьCost of living also depends on the city you choose. Mexico City is going to be way more expensive than say Comitan, Chiapas. It is like comparing New York City to a mid size city in the south east.
ОтветитьThanks 🙏 so much for this informative clip.
I’m planning a trip to Mexico 🇲🇽 to get
Stem cell injections for my rheumatoid arthritis.
The prices in Mexico for healthcare is simply mind blowing. A great example of that was for your $3.00 meds.
Also, I agree, the underlying anger with Americans have reached a pinnacle that pushes so many to be a
“KAREN”.
I lived in NYC for 18yrs & simply could not take people being so mean.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand we are all trying to supply for our families, while at the same time, have a nice quality of life.
The prices of basics have sky rocketed- GAS ⛽️, FOOD, clothing & SHELTER.
I’m now living an hour away from Los Angeles. Now & during the Pandemic 😷 we did have some positives, people helping people.
We had a family with 4 small children in our apt. Complex & we all made sure the mom had formula & whatever basic food staples the kids needed.
The people in Mexico 🇲🇽 are truly gracious & helpful!
Thanks 🙏 again for your awesome 👏 clip !
PLEASE KEEP THEM COMING.
Mind, Body, Fitness Expert,
Blake
Great info Ryan and Emily! Thanks! Did you use any health insurance in Palenque? Is that why the ambulance and ER visit were free? Thx!
ОтветитьAgain it depends where you are in Mexico 🇲🇽 about noise and everything else!!!
ОтветитьMy friend every country has good and bad…. Including the USA 🇺🇸
As far as safety it all depends on what part of Mexico you go too… I live in Chicago believe me there’s beautiful areas and horrible and dangerous areas…. You need to go to Mexico City 🌃 Satélite! It will blow your mind away….
Straight forward. Much appreciated.
ОтветитьYou did a great job on this one! Just like you did with Malaysia. Definitely phenomenal food in Mexico - love the regional dishes too like cochinita pibil. Hope you guys are doing well!
ОтветитьWe have been traveling and vlogging all over southern Mexico now for almost 6 months. Taking a short trip to Belize and going to finish off 2022 in Mexico. Have never had any problems yet and always feel safe. Also on a taco diet and have lost a lot of weight. LoL
ОтветитьRyan very informative video
ОтветитьMuy bien balanceado.
ОтветитьI am from Mexico but I live in Texas and I love being able to have the picturesque opportunity to buy at my door some bread, tamales, homemade cheese, (gas for cooking) fresh meat, donuts, vegetables, water, and sometimes even clay pots. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьMaybe add Queretaro
ОтветитьSnail Travelers ... Just to inform u two that yesterday d Malaysia National Recovery Council has agreed to allow d Malaysian International Borders to be opened to everyone from 1 March 2022 - quarantine free provided u passed d PCR test before u visit Malaysia ... So good news, Malaysia would be opened to every citizens in this world to enter Malaysia from 1 March 2022 onwards as long as they are from countries that have diplomatic ties with Malaysia of course .... So far only 2 countries in that Malaysia does not have diplomatic ties and they are North Korea and Israel .... Citizens from other countries other than these 2 countries are welcomed to enter Malaysia from 1 March 2022 onwards .....
ОтветитьGreat summary. I just took an early retirement and we are about start our slow travel. What do you do for your health insurance? Was your hospital stay paid for by insurance or just out of pocket (virtually free)?
ОтветитьI loved the clear presentation. You have excellent diction. You would make a good English teacher.
Ответить
