What a great video!! I have two Vespas, a two stroke and a four stroke. Best purchase without doubt!! Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
ОтветитьI'm autistic-OK with being alone. Can only go 2nd hand on a Vespa, may go new Piaggio or Honda minimoto next year.
ОтветитьThanks you. I made the decision to buy a Vespa today.
ОтветитьI see you have a sm-med windshield. What kind is it? What do you prefer, small, med or large... or all? Thanks... Love your videos. BTW, I have a brand new GTS 300 super sport. Keep up the great videos. I like a little fresh air in my face, but no rocks or bugs. Haha
ОтветитьAnother great video…. Soothing…. Thinking about your comments in comparison to my lifelong motorcycle habit… I ride motorcycles for the same reason… at 76 I don’t ride as much as I used to but still get out couple of times a week for lunch or breakfast meet up… if I haven’t ridden for a week or so I ache to get out for an hour or two…. For fun adventure and friendship….it also keeps me sharp in terms of using skills not used in a car…. Maybe I should try a Vespa!!
ОтветитьYou are blessed to live in the area with almost no cars in the road, it makes riding the motorcycle so much easier and relaxing.
ОтветитьJust got a 2023 Vespa primavera 150 dark blue. I can’t stay off it. I feel like a kid riding it around town.
Ответитьoh wow! not far from my alma mater, F&M!!
ОтветитьHi from UK , you have just sealed the deal for me to go and find my perfect Vespa which I have always yearned for . Been hankering after one for years but work commitments , kids etc. Recently been forced into premature retirement due to serious illness but think this is my answer to improve my physical and mental well-being being so gonna take the plunge . Than you 😊❤
Ответитьyou pay a lot extra to get the brand that makes the most beatiful scooters alof all time, it's as simple at that...Vespa's aren't the best at anything other then design, but for city riding they are more then enough and obviously gorgeous to look at
ОтветитьI have a small 50cc Piaggio Typhoon which is not technically considered in the Vespa family because it looks more like a small motorcycle. But it's built by Piaggio and has similar characteristics. I ride it here in Seattle three seasons and really not on long rides although I should. I do use it everyday in the Summer months and I can say I just love it. The more I ride it the more I appreciate it's reliability and quality build. I can tell you that I am already considering buying another larger Vespa so I can keep up with the friends I have made. Is it an "investment" ?? it is...in my overall happiness.
ОтветитьI agree on the nimbleness of the Vespa. I feel like I just think about what I want to do and the scooter just does it. So easy. 2022 GTS Super. I am also lucky because we have a local club that has group rides every month. So Fun!
ОтветитьSee your video and i make a decision to buy one in Hong Kong~Thank you
ОтветитьCOOL Bother! Go a GTS 300ie I'm working on changing the Voltage Regulator on...have a Harley Road King as well but love the Vespa as well...great vid!
ОтветитьHallo!! What’s your opinion about 13inch wheels?
ОтветитьIf id work at Vespa, I would use this as an AD with no changes whatsoever. This is gold and so spot on.
ОтветитьI just picked up my 2021 300 gts for $5500 from a dealer with 660 miles. Such a great scooter, way better than my adv 150 honda
ОтветитьLovely roads and poignant thoughts.. Can you tell me what cameras you are using on the helmet and facing you.. 🤔
Crap Game 🎉
I'm picking up my new 2019 GTS 300 Monday in Quito, Ecuador ($7,700). Everything here is more expensive and thus sits on the showroom floor longer. The 2023 is $10,500. As I was trying to decide between another motorcycle and a Vespa, I own a Triumph and a Chinese adventure 250, I realized the Vespa isn't a motorcycle. It is something else.
ОтветитьAs you get older the types of bikes you can physically ride becomes more restricted. The Vespa is the last one you will be able to handle and so will be the last bike you will ever need to buy.
ОтветитьAs a classic introvert your words ring so true for me. I'm not necessarily looking for more or new friends and certainly don't enjoy maintaining a large group of friends, but it has taken me almost 30 years to fully understand that there is really nothing "wrong" with me and that it's ok to stop and recharge the social battery so to speak. Of course, there is the occasional problem of having your family or friends understand that we really are not anti-social in the true sense of the word. Nevertheless, motorcycling for me is just another way to get out of the house and ride alone to recharge from social activity (family, friends, work etc.) when necessary. It is also an opportunity, as you say, to perhaps make a few unintentional new friends along the way or bring current family/friends in to share this motorcycling journey for new adventures. It's all about mental balance for people like me and riding is just another tool to help manage my mental well-being.
ОтветитьAnother awesome video Steve and well-balanced perspective. I think nearly 100% of Vespa owners feel they are over-priced. So too are most motorcycles, some by not as much though. I also feel most all sun glasses are over-priced. So . . . we the individual must choose which over-priced purchases still in the long run, provide good value. A few years ago I purchased a very over-priced Sleep Number Bed, my sleep number is 45 by the way . . . ;) ;) ;) At the end of the day, it is an item I literally use once everyday of my life so, even though it sold for double what it should have cost, I still bought it and LOVE IT. The Vespa returns in spades, countless smiles, memories and experiences. So . . . even though they sell for three grand more than they should, life is short and procuring a little more enjoyment along the way, is perhaps well-worth the inflated expenditure.
ОтветитьSteve, I've just sold my RE classic 350 and I am back to scooters. I will be looking for a new one next year.
ОтветитьHi Steve,
Apologies if this has already been asked; is there a PA Vespa group that I can look into?
I've been riding my Primavera 150s for a year now and haven't seen any scooters in the Bethlehem area.
I'd be willing to plan a couple of day's trip to meet up with a group, even if for one time.
I appreciate you very much; thanks for the content!
My new favorite scooter video. Completely agree with your sentiments and felt like I was riding alongside you and Paul while you delivered them. I’m grateful to be friends with you guys and to share this beautiful landscape that you so beautifully capture.
ОтветитьA true friend is friend that will bail you out of jail and help you get your life back in order. Hopefully we don't go to jail but if you've ever been there the first thing you think of is "who am I going to call to get me out of here?" If you don't have any friends you better never get arrested.
ОтветитьVery refreshing as a balance to the finance gurus who keep telling you that you cannot buy anything expensive and need to put every cent in index funds. I’m doing my motorcycle license at the moment and looking forward very much to buying and riding a Vespa myself!
ОтветитьThanks for another great video Steve. I really enjoy your laid-back introspective nature. I noticed that you stopped at the Meandering Mallard in Millheim. Is that the same place that used to be the IngleBean? I was through there on Sunday after a ride to Lewiston and then back towards home via the Milheim-Siglersville pike. It was really nice gravel road through the mountains. When passing through Millheim I was keeping an eye open for the coffee shop that I have seen you do videos in, but didn’t recognize any signage. Today I am off from work and am heading out to where 322 and 144 meet. I am going to follow 144 up to where it meets 44 and then turn south-east and head home. Thanks for the entertainment and for identifying points of interest in your area.
ОтветитьKind regards from Germany! It' s so true. I'm riding my Vespa for 30 years! What can I say, it's Love! Finally it is an investment for life. Ride save.
ОтветитьNice video I am a vesper lover as well. I have two love with you live it looks so peaceful I live in New York City actually Brooklyn but no matter where I ride my vespa
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this one! Of course, I’m converted already😊 I don’t know what it is about riding somewhere to eat yet the food just tastes better.
ОтветитьBoston Bob checking in Steve. I feel the same. Ride on bro.
ОтветитьThoroughly enjoyed this video. Can't get over how the scenery is so similar to here in rural Scotland. Vespa sales need to send you a big thanks. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьThis is great. I been watching the craiglist for a nice 150.
ОтветитьHello Steve, you have a way with words, if you were a motivational speaker I’d gladly go hear you speak.
you’re definitely attached to your Vespa, I’m the same way, I seldom sell or get rid of my worldly belongings. Thanks for bringing us along, as always the ride was beautiful and scenic.
Perfect timing! I just took delivery of my new 2023 GTS 300 Super Sport literally an hour ago! Love the look, the sound, the zip! No more Harley attitude, loud pipes, expensive mods! Going to be posting some rides and mods myself. Your videos are an inspiration!
Ответитьthanks for the ride - it's like having breakfast with a couple of old friends. I'm a little jealous -1. your roads are bucolic. there's so much developement here - central Pasco county, fla. now I have to go 10 miles to get to rural roads - used to be 2 miles. 2. I'm waiting for a replacement back tire for my 300GTS - the currrent one picked up a nice big nail.
ОтветитьAnother one of those coincidentally/perfectly timed posts! LOL. Finally took my safety course in the last couple of days and got the motorcycle endorsement on my license yesterday. And now I'm looking to finalize a deal on my new "investment". I expect to get on the road with my new Vespa in the next couple of days. Life is good and will now be good with the Vespa! Cheers Steve! (And keem 'em coming.)
ОтветитьIt's a quality of life investment! Another nice video - thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьAs I listened to this video I kept plugging in "Royal Enfield Motorcycle" every place you said "Vespa Motor Scooter". Try it, you'll see that it mostly works. Like you, I have scooters and motorcycles. I like the scooters. They're easy to ride, have copious cargo capacity and do what they do. The motorcycles? They just stir my soul. Each shift is another acceleration or deceleration. The engine changes sound and sometimes tone as powerbands come and go. I'm involved with every aspect of them. The clutch, gear shift, throttle and brakes. What is you said? "It stirs my soul." I get the allure of a Vespa about the same way I get the allure of a Harley. An old brand built with engineering that mixes old and new. Costly and in a dry comparison not really "Better" than the less costly competition. But as you say, "It stirs your soul."
I have a Honda and a Kawasaki. Honda's work but in my head "Kawasaki Let's the Good Times Roll."
watching your video just makes me want to take my Vespa out and just ride till sunset…
ОтветитьYou can't put a price on mental health
my Vespa has nearly infinite value to me because of that
a more pragmatic person walking into a dealership in seeing that he or she would need to drop 10,000+ dollars for a new GTS 300 might just feel otherwise
of course the cost of everything has gone through the roof
another great video with a wonderful philosophy on life
to which I subscribe wholeheartedly
the best to you, always
Do you think a total newbie rider can handle a Vespa 300 GTS? For me self and my 21 year old daughter. Thank you
ОтветитьYet another wonderful video. Thank you👍
ОтветитьDon't have a Vespa (yet), have to make do with the Himalayan :) Beautiful ride! Thanks for taking us along.
ОтветитьLove this videos!! Thank you from italy🇮🇹🇮🇹💪
ОтветитьGreat content,bravo from Greece.
ОтветитьGreat video and philosophy on what’s important in life. Thanks for sharing 🙏
ОтветитьWhat you share in this video is so on point. The friendships, adventures and most importantly, the fun. I can not put a dollar value on the smiles a Vespa has put on my face. Another outstanding production that should be a must see for all prospective Vespa buyers.
