best way I could describe Vanguard is like a Tesla...trendy, full of features, even fun to a degree, but completely and utterly soulless.

Such a disgraceful entry to not only cod but to the video game genre as a whole when it comes to portraying history

i remember first hearing the rumors that it was going to be kinda like wolfenstein but more grounded in reality (no super mechs), like a scenario where germany wins, or ww2 drags on longer. that would have been a cooler game then what we got.

I played the whole year that’s crazy I had some good times and actually made new friends I play with now lol but I guess they right when they say everyone has their own opinion

Campaign had its moments but still eh. MP was fun at first, but the spawns were so bad and then I started the camo and attachment grinds and I absolutely HATED it. Takes so freaking long to get an attachment I want and the camo requirements with having this or that attachment equipped was no good with me. I somewhat enjoyed it and some maps were actually really good but overall eh

the gun customization gives Bubba and his tapco sks a run for his money

Vanguard was a bad game, but it doesn't compare to complete shit that was MW2019, SBMM, horrible maps, loud footsteps and no zombies. Vanguard somehow was still fun to play, mw2019 it just aids

The lack of a Wonder Weapon is even funnier when you consider NACHT DER UNTOTEN, THE LITERAL FIRST COD ZOMBIES MAP EVER, HAD THE RAY GUN AT LEAST, and on a similar note the First map with Pack a Punch had a Pack a Punch Camo

You know.. it wouldn't even be a bad idea to make it a platform. I could see it working, but they'd fuck it up. You just do like the original ones did: you choose which front or country you want to play through. Except, as a platform, you can just keep adding new countries, and depicting the actual historical contributions . Like they wanna do diversity: actually hire some folks with connections to some of the lesser known countries that were involved, I have no doubt there were heroic philipinos, or greeks, or danes, what about the various resistance movements that sprung up? Like, imagine doing a campaign that involves all the clusterfuckery of Operation Gladio.

Vanguard was fun people just hated it because it was a WW2 game because the game was fun throughout the entire year and if you're one of those people that complain about shotguns you should not be playing Call of Duty

this game feels like a sequel. like, if they had made a game before giving some backstory to the protagonists as individuals fighting for their own countries with their own motives at the beginning of the war, i think vanguards campaign would’ve had a much bigger chance to win over the players. Also, when was the last time we saw 4 people from 4 different countries unite to fight a common enemy in the franchise? 🤔

I think you left out the best thing that came out of Vanguard (or that era at least): Operation Monarch. I'm a huge Godzilla fan boy, and playing Warzone with freaking Godzilla and Kong terrorizing the map and also being able to command them? Gawwwwwd that was so cool. I never played Warzone before that and haven't touched it since. But during that time, it was my favorite game.

We’re seeing this now with MW3 when the original came out it was shit on by fans and some critics, now that the 2023 MW3 is shit the original MW3 is revered as great, humans are ass.

I only liked it for gunplay, felt satisfying, similar to MW 2019, rest was trash, really only played and got Atomic out of boredom.

Not to mention Sam Maggs was involved in this game.. evreything she touches dies. Her and Anita S, are deadset on ruining entertainment as a whole with their woke agenda garbage in an effort to be as politically correct and diverse as possible. And they prioritize this over gameplay and great characters/story.🙄😒

I enjoyed it.
