Top Free VST Effects - MeldaProduction

I recently got this Melda effect bundle. There's now 37 in total. $52 US unlocks all the features, however you get all 37 fully functioning plug-ins even if you don't buy. I think you're not able to edit some things or save your edits as presets unless you buy. A nice thing is you get a great stack for cheap, and these work well. I bought it and then turned around and added some higher level plug-ins like the MB versions of Saturator, Delay, Reverb, Distortion, Ultramaximizer, RingModulator.

PS a bonus, any plug-in you buy is likely in another bundle as well. Buying the single variant will reduce your bundle price if you choose that later on.

Hi thx for the vid. Just a question: Wen you use MSpectralPan, do you place an instance of the plugin in both channels (the piano and the vocals), then group them into a group, and finally place another instance of MSpectralPan in the group to apply the effects?

Hey you did a great job reviewing this. I'm a long time meldaproduction user but I didn't know the free plugin count had gotten up so high. didn't even know MSpectralPan existed - and I have the lite version of MSpectralDynamics. Nice work.

I have to give the free Mcompressor number one spot..... check out the power of custom shape, instant gate, expansion compression and limiter in one curve , while you look at it pop out graph for what your curve is doing to the signal..... Class compressor its very transparent too.

Nice video, but I have a question. I got the free bundle from melda but they give me some problems. When I use them the sound overboosts and clip. I don't know why.

Another neat thing about the Melda Production software it the settings where it will allow you to process mid and/or side separately. When I'm mastering or premastering while I'm mixing I use the MEq to eq the side and mid to match my reference track.

How can i chose the external input for the side chain input?? :0 i just want to give my Kickdrum more room in the mix and use the side chain f.e. on my bass line. Therefore i have to choose the Kickdrum as an external input...

There are actually 108 plug-ins now (I'm installing it all just for that EQ, because it's amazing). I was a little surprised after you said it was 34 or 35, but I guess they've added some features. I'm excited about MVocoder, so I don't have a disguting drool-filled tube hanging from my mouth, but I'm seriously weak on pedals so all of the effects will be a huge help. Thankfully my little practice amp actually sounds amazing on the Boost channel, so once I get a proper mic for it I'm golden. Plenty of rock stars recorded on practice amps.

I downloaded the free bundles a month ago and now when I use them they cut out for like 30 seconds and then come back In.. What's up with that...

On another note, how about a vid on how the different ways convolution and IRs can be used, their context, and best uses. Pete thorn demonstrated using an acoustic IR on an electric guitar in the review of the Mooer Radar.

There are many useful plugins in this bundle, the problem is that for me only a few ones would be worth as I already have other (free) plugins that cover most of those functions and with better quality (mostly MEqualizer, under the hood is kinda mediocre as an EQ). Still, a very recommended bundle, msotly if you don't wanna spend a (really) big amount of time searching for each individual "best" free plugin on its category.

MCompressor actually looks like a great tool to start learning about how compression works, since everything you do is shown in such a way, that you can kinda understand yourself what you're doing with the sound.

I remember that great voice in the "MSpectralPan" sample <3. Disliking twice is another highlight of this clip :-) Besides the "MTremoloMB", I also found the "MVibratoMB" very useful. Tweaking for example sax/panflute tracks where I played just straight tones worked out quite convincingly.

I'm seriously considering moving back to desktop recording after watching your last few videos Mike.
