Anyone who thinks Eddie has even a 10% chance is DELUSIONAL. Even Eddie knows that

Teaching has nothing to do with it if a person is uncoordinated.

When I played college football, we drilled the same footwork before practice Monday through Friday. Same exact footwork, repetitive, making sure that we were completely comfortable with it

I believe Eddie has the ability to learn faster than Brian. Hopefully both of them continue. If Neil invests his time into Eddie, doing say one practice a week, for the foreseeable future, that would be great. Brian needs more table time with different guys, not just his little group of locals he's got going there.

Brian absolutely 💯 is holding back from showing his true form……. But Devon seemingly has been a shit coach lmfao and is counting on Brian’s size and strength to get him through this match. Eddie is looking crisp and dangerous

I think Eddie's got it. All about how you apply your strength, being heavier, taller, stronger grip, is no guarantee of a win if the technique is all over the place.

Brian should try copying the really big dudes like cleve dean, richard lupkes or even levan. Devon is a lean guy so he has way more mobility.

If brian gets caught in the middle of a transition or some awkward position, eddie could gas him out with constant attack.

Devon is the worst possible coach, it would be like a beginner getting Bolt to teach them how to sprint, Devon does shit that no one else can/should do

Being English I obviously like Eddie but I've watched all their funny videos together so I like em both and I agree Brian is a big favorite and I think Eddie just agreed to get Brian going and I think Devon is hoping Brian could be the man to crack Levan eventually and I hope he's right 👍👍 😂

Being a big devon fan, sorry to say devon is not a great teacher, he is a good teacher but not a great one, he is the aw sensei, he has more knowledge than anyone except john in this sport, but when it comes to teaching, its a diff skill, brian and eddie are both behinners, and to make them understand about the sport more, you need to start from the basics, neil is better than devon in that case, cause devon's training method is complex, there is too much knowledge and you don't know what to do, that is what happened with brian, neil did a better job with eddie

The way I see it, Brian doesn't know how to engage his pronator while Eddie does and actively attacks opponents with it, which could be Brian's demise because among the matches he can win, he relies(seems solely) on brute forcing his opponents who are not pronator-driven pullers either, so his weakness stays unexploited. I wouldn't be surprised if Eddie wins this one easily because in a strap his move can melt Brian and basically any newbies who don't know how to engage their pronators. The only way Brian can beat Eddie probably lies in off-strap options where he snatches his hand hard and bluntly pushes sideways in that amateurish, dangerous isolated side-pressure move. He is so strong in that move due to who he is, yet probably this hinders his understanding of what real AW requires.

People think two visits from Devon are the same as full time coaching multiple times per week with Neil. And they come to the conclusion that Devon is a “shitty teacher”. All of us are sitting at home while they’re competing for $$$$ what do we know

@jays100
@jays100 - 10.12.2024 15:03

I can easily see a world where Eddie wins but his potential is nowhere near Brian's. Eddie is a more natural/normal athlete overall. He isn't as much of a giant and he goes more based on feel. Brian is both more gifted and technical overall. I would still bet on Brian at this point but two years from now the gap will likely be larger in Brian's favor

@FixTheLaws - 12.12.2024 03:25

I completely agree. At first eddie had no chance but it seems like eddie moves better between the both of them right now. Shaw definitely has the greater strength. Eddie knows it too. He has been retired longer and he has trained with Brian after his retirement he knows brian is stronger and has some leverage advantages. That doesn't mean brian is insanely stronger than Eddie. Eddie is far from weak. I think they are going to be much closer and anyone of them could win.
