The photographer says that Putin destroyed Grozny, and Kadyrov rebuilt it......but where does he think kadyrov got the money from. All that money comes from all the other hard working regions of russia. Chechnya has a shitty economy that could not even finance the construction of a playground without help from russia. Instead of slamming Putin, this moron should be on his knees thanking him. Clearly it was a wasted effort on Putin's part.

Not all caucasians want an islamic caliphate. And they all depend on russia whether they like it or not. Remittances from Russia even make up a third of Armenia's gdp.

No they didn't. North of the Terek River was all belonging to the Cossacks and had never even been settled by caucasians. Get real moron.

stop bullshitting fool. I'm ethnic Caucasian, so don't even try to lecture me on our history, Cossacks invaded that land , it isn't originally theirs. Today they're a mixture of Russian/Ukrainian men and North Caucasian women

Like I said, NORTH of the Terek River in Chechnya never belonged to the Chechens and was ethnically cleansed of russians during the first chechen war. Nothing you say can change that.

its look like standart propagandistic piece from the beginning."Moscow" doesnt blamed Chechens of flat bombings, responsibility was placed on the international islamist mowement(which was were different ethnically),second war began not becouse of this, but with the invasion of Shamil Basayev in Dagestan, and it was not putin who ordered strikeback, but Stepasin and Yeltsyn.Such manipulation of the facts is needed to show that"rashens"are always wrong and lying, while western powers is always right

Stalin wasn't even a russian, he was georgian. As for the ethniv cleansing of russians, google it. Russians were raped, tortured, beheaded, and driven out of their home in chechnya. Before the first chechen war they were 7% of the population, now they're 0%.

I used to be pro independence of the Caucasus but now I don't believe it can even rule on its own without being another Afghanistan or Syria. From what I see, the Chechen republic can do almost anything they want to within Russia so why separate? They can have the mosque, the islamic rulings and others. Chechnya now is better than ever before. Ramzan is a dictator? Yes he is. Putin is his master? Yes. So what? The country now is better off. To fight off terrorists and insurgents , you need dictatorship for a period of time.

Putin Avenue, with his portrait on the street? The same street where thousands of Chechen civilians spilled blood into that dirt. How does Ramzan go to sleep at night? Where is his honor?

I love how this documentary omits that Chechnya descended into chaos after the Russians left. How extremists took control and implanted Sharia.

Sure there's a lot of problems in Chechnya. But this report felt biased to me, like the journalists tried to push their agenda instead of just reporting the situation how it is. I.e. they interviewed only people who are discontent with the situation, and didn't interview people who are content with the situation. For example take the "martial arts guy", why did he appear there at all? He said almost nothing of value in the clip. I think this is because he said good words about the current situation in Chechnya and journalists had to cut out everything he said except some irrelevant line about prayers.
