How do I generate license key for my ESXI 8. I downloaded it but I am not seeing anywhere on the website to get the key just like how it did when I downloaded the version 7 and below.

i have installed Esxi 8 on my HPE ML350 gen10 server. but after installing the network ports r not working. it has 4 Gig ports in it. in port 1 i have assigned static IP, my networking is ok. if i check HPE iLO control panel it says Network ports are unknown. Can anyone help??

I obtained a license key but I'm unable to download after registering. Received error "Unable to process your request. Please try again later." I searched the error and saw some people had luck clearing cookies and using different browsers. I've done all that and still no luck. This is a widely known problem, with many people posting on it. If VMware's website is this bad, I hesitate to use their products.

A guide to use the fling driver driver and integrate it with vsphere 8 iso would be very helpful because as it stands the natively supported hardware list is extremely small

So...I built an ESXi 8 usb installer, and it boots and runs the installer....however...after 2 days of troubleshooting, I cannot get it to install to 2 different nvme drives. I can access the web gui and build the datastores, build VMs, etc, but after I reboot my mini PC it will not boot to any installation. If I copy the installer files to the nvme drive, it will run the installer upon boot and I am able to access the web gui again. It makes no sense. The installer never prompts me with the EULA or drive selection either, it just runs a full automation. I downloaded the iso from VMware too, so I know its unmodified. Any suggestions?

Hi. Thanks for your content about VMware. It is helpful for beginners but not for power Users. It should be explained that the free license has limitations. 8 Cores per VM and etc. also some services are not available in free license, for example Veeam Backup and Replication cann't backup the Host if you have a free license. For test purposes it is probably OK but for productive environment it is not recommend. People should to have this very important Info's. Best Regards Danijel

How do you know or realize which server to buy that is compatible with VMware 8? I was told that it will not work on older hardware? How old do they mean?

It appears VMware vSphere 8 no longer has a free version. Only a 60 day trial. How about a video on how to downgrade back to 7

NOTE: ESXi does not work with Realtek NICs. I you have one on your machine, Forget Esxi as it wont install, Hardware Compatibility issue.
Instead go for Proxmox.
