I don't like 1883. Too woke. Revolved around an entitled girl who wished she had OnlyFan.

I think he should use Charlie Hunnam as a Dutton

John (Jack) Dutton is Kevin Costner's character's grandfather, and Spencer's character is Jack Dutton's uncle, and
Spencer is the best looking, with the smoother vocal delivery of the two.

Just watched Yellowstone marathon, in the episode “Keep the Wolves Close”, John tells Beth “ my great grandfather build this house…”. But yet, we know James was shot and died in the log cabin. Right????

This makes Jacob Dutton to be john dutton grandfather not James dutton.

Maybe Alex is pregnant on ship and that's why she was sick at first not sea sick . Then they meet in Bozeman her with a child. they have a child in 1924 . Then John ll is named after Spencer brother John l and Spencer shows his brother respect .by naming it John after his brother. It's still possible jack gets Elizabeth pregnant again after miscarriage. And Spencer goes on to open up 6666 ranch etc. And Alex and Spencer kid has a kid in 1944 etc....

Could be written that he has a son he does not know about born after he went to Army. Or Jack is really Spencers somehow. Or he has son that has sone at very young age.

Elsa narrates in the first five minutes in episode one.....”My father had three children. Only one would live to see their own children grown. Only one would carry the fate of this family through the depression and every other hell the 20th century hurled at them.” Elsa is dead. John is dead. That leaves one kid left to see his own children grown and carry on the fate of his family......Spencer. Nuff said.

I think that Jack Dutton and his wife will raise Spencer Dutton’s son who will be present day John Dutton’s father. Because this was foreshadowed after Jack Dutton’s wife lost her baby.

So many people want to insist that Spencer is John Dutton’s grandfather. It would make John a 4th generation rancher if that were true. Jack has to be his grandfather if John is a 5th generation rancher, as Jamie revealed in season 5.
