That wasn't some rando, it was the most prolific serial killer of Philadelphia
ОтветитьNow it's getting a prequel lol.
ОтветитьThe guy in the shower must've influenced Shalamayan so bad he just had to do the Knock at the Cabin
ОтветитьMy friend recommended this movie the other day saying how we HAVE to watch it on Halloween. We ended up having a get together and watched this cause he explained “my aunt saw this in theaters and ever since she doesn’t watch horror movies cause they’re too scary” so I was hyped hoping for something good, I kept waiting and waiting and waiting thinking it was gonna eventually become scary yet never did. The whole time I was laughing and smiling. Found it ridiculous in every sense of the word. Afterwards he told me he thought it was scary af and I couldn’t believe him.
Lot of things I didn’t like, for example they give you the ending right in the beginning of the movie so you have no reason to really care since you know the outcome. You have no attachment to the characters cause you don’t get any sorta character development other than “he proposed and she said no”. How they’re able to say “this is a true story” without even being able to justify/know exactly what happened and are able to embellish heavily. Also how “fast” the kill was with a quick stab stab that’s it? All that build up for that?
“People thought it was a snuff film”. Who tf are these people, Happy Madison viewers? People who call regular horror movies snuff films annoy tf outta me since they don’t really get what that means. This video is 11 years old and yet every piece of criticism is STILL justified and right on the money.
I had to find some sorta video or something that shared my feelings just so I knew I wasn’t the only one that thought this movie sucked.
I hate horror movies where the protagonists are stiff, frowny, whispering drama queens.
ОтветитьSome of these the dumbest decisions made by characters in a movie of all time
ОтветитьI can't believe the Golden God decided to grace this shit film with his presence.
ОтветитьThe Strangers has a good concept and is well filmed for the most part, but it doesn’t save it from not being too scary, the predictable moments left and right, and not only barely giving the two leads character development, but having them be the most idiotic fools I’ve ever seen in my life. A famous quote of mine for this movie is “I side with the strangers, I think the couple is stupid.”
ОтветитьPlease cover the second Strangers movie 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI love this content...as a fellow Cannuck, you're doing us proud 🥲❤
ОтветитьThe male lead in this movie sucked just as much as be sucked in animal kingdom. Literally has the same scratching his face and weird thing he does with his tongue in every movie I’ve seen him in.
Ответить11 YEARS !?!???!!
ОтветитьWelllll, Fuck!
ОтветитьFunny Games but bad
ОтветитьFun fact: the "true event" this was inspired by was one time when the writer was a kid, someone knocked on the door and asked if someone who didn't live there was home. That's it.
ОтветитьThis was one of the least scary horror movies I've seen. Not sure why people find it scary.
ОтветитьThis movie is boring and stupid, why people like this movie?
ОтветитьWill do for houses what jaws did for the ocean
ОтветитьReally?! The dude can’t figure out how to load and use a shotgun?! It’s a shotgun! Put shell in magazine. Rack the slide. Pull the trigger. Anyone who’s dad hunts knows how to load and unload a gun just from watching their dad do it alone. Much less the sheer ubiquitous appearance of the weapon in pop culture. Literally anyone could figure out how to load the thing and operate it. Sure I could excuse being rusty and having to fiddle around with it or even the classic “whoops the safety was on” mistake but those aside I don’t know how one can have a shotgun in a horror movie and fucking lose to the butcher knife maniac. So long as that barrel is pointed at the person, you’re gonna hit them. Especially at the ranges they were in.
I’m sorry it’s just frustrating beyond words when this shows up in movies. This movie literally ends in 20 minutes with a shotgun blast and a phone call on the cellphone to the cops to report a home invasion. Especially in America! Sorry Canada. You just have the cell phone.
Biggest thing that irritates me about the cell phone trope is simply YOU DONT NEED ANY SIGNAL TO CALL 911. It's the one number you don't even need a phone network to be able to call.
Ответитьanyone else who genuinely liked this movie? i saw it at a younger age, and then did a rewatch probably about two years ago, and i still thought it was still p cool!! the audio loop of the record still freaks me out to this day xD
ОтветитьWhat happened with the gun? Something stupid I assume.
You have a modern handgun. Shoot the bad guys, roll credits, movie over.
whats the flute song in the beginning?
ОтветитьOh my god there's a bang from 2022
Ответитьi think we all know the biggest problem is that glenn howerton isn’t the murderer
Ответить"Hey ya still have a smoke left ya kunt" made me lol
ОтветитьMost American homes are so well armed that these clowns would get annihilated.
ОтветитьThose killers just took way too many risks to be realistic. Who would choose to do that.
Ответитьthe strangers has realism for the killers how maybe a group just enjoys to terrify their victims. but the actual realism of them teleporting is maybe on the lower end(literally doing that just to be funny for the audience). the movie has cliches but allot of movies have them. If they maybe paced it better, removed the teleporting, and also fixed some things that make not complete sense (burning plastic, fire alarm giving up etc). allot of these things arent even major if the producers wanted the movie to not be realistic.
its still a fun movie just to watch if you're a horror fan that likes the home invasion sub genre.
"What made you wanna make it??" crickets
It's called money, sweetie. That's what made them wanna make it.
I know that vinyl record stratch sound effect came from this movie, but when I heard it, I instantly recognised it from No Through Road and got scared for a moment.
ОтветитьAwful movie… but Liv Tyler is just amazing. She will always be Arwen to me
ОтветитьPeople thought it was a snuff film... who the fuck was in the test screening? Literal fucking babies?
ОтветитьThe thing is, as far as realism goes, this IS realistic. I can see a serial killer really getting off on being so silent that the victim can't even detect them, and relishing how powerful they feel from that.
HOWEVER
In terms of entertainment and engagement, yeah, it fucking sucks.
Why wouldn’t the “friend” be like, “Male Name? Female Name? Are you okay? What’s going on?” He would’ve seen the door destroyed, car destroyed… and he’s walking around like he’s breaking into the place himself. Even if he thought criminals were in there, why would he go in there then? Stupid. Should’ve just stayed there with the gun since it worked.
Ответитьno modern "horror movies" is a horror movie. theyre all just spooky thrillers. and im okay with that.
Ответить10 years later and "OH MY GOD THERES A BANG AT THE DOOR" is still funny
ОтветитьWow. This video is 10 years old. That’s insane.
ОтветитьThe trollface paired with the distorted static-y audio aged significantly different 10 years later
ОтветитьThumbs up and an additional comment to beat the algorithm. Thanks for the video! 👍🔥👍
ОтветитьThis movie was an absolute boring trog to get through and I only remember it cause I was so angry at how stupid it was..
ОтветитьI always really liked this movie although how dumb they were …and the bath water was gross..
ОтветитьWhang!
Ответитьwas that fucking dennis reynolds
ОтветитьRemember when adum used rage comics a lot in his vids? Ah, memories.
ОтветитьIf "deconstruct" was used instead of "strip away," it would still be somewhat inaccurate, but it wouldn't be the complete opposite of what happens. I kinda think that's what he meant, because if you look at it that way, it's actually kind of interesting imo, sorta vaguely minimalistic.
