maybe the fingertip things could help people with certain issues with their fingertips. like how tony iomi made finger tip things after he cut the tips of his fingers off at work

V-Picks actually make some really great picks. The Phil Keaggy and TTK-5 are picks that I use (and like). They also make smaller picks for mandolin that I use as well. I have a Van Zen which is like the Big Fattie and I don't really care for it either. The idea behind them is that the pick won't spin around as easily while you are playing. Great video. Most of those helping tools are crappy gimmicks. People should just buy some lessons instead and stick with them. You are right about embracing the fingertip pain. You know that you have arrived once your fingertips have gone permanently numb.

As a bass player the silicon finger caps are a pain to even look at. playing=burns and stuff. burns and stuff=CALICES. CALICES=BETTER AND LESS PAINFUL PLAYING. SILICON CAPS=DESTRUCTION OF SKILL

i actually did buy the finger stretcher (before i saw this video) because i thought it was elastic. you play with the elastic on and build muscle so then when you take it off the stretch is easy but nope
