Of all the plot holes, loose ends, twisted arcs, and characters that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss ruined; I'm glad they got one right.

There are so many beautiful and subtle moments in this scene. Podrick, Jaime, Brienne- they all have such a connection and know each other so well. Plus- that smile on her face when she rises. My favorite moment of the entire series.

Nobody; man or woman, has ever been more deserving of knighthood.

Imagine at the very end Jamie going "lol I'm kidding, knights can't knight anyone"

Would have been so much better if Brienne was knighted and then the next day, she was torn to pieces by White Walkers, turned into a Wight herself and then stabbed in the heart with Dragon Glass by Podrick.

Instead, Dan and Dave managed to have her and the rest of the main cast survive 100,000 White Walkers.

Why could davos not knight her?

If anyone deserved such an honor it was her she proved her self over and over!! Perfect scene!!

Long overdue, no one deserved more than her she was more honorable and skilled than the rest of the knights that were nothing but bullies

For just an episode, we had Game of Thrones back as it was. This scene and Pod singing Jenny's song were absolutely perfect.

I like how she looks around to see that they accept her to be knighted.

Tormund was like: "THAT'S MY BEAST OF A WOMAN!" as he applauded her.

"I AM THE IMP AND I DEMAND TO KNOW!"

Who else here stood to attention the first time they saw this scene?

Brienne, how would you like to join the Amazons? You would be the perfect Amazon. We are not offering this to anyone else, just Brienne.

This was the very last good scene of Game of Thrones.

This is what men would fight and die for. A girl who only loves just one... Just... Me... And at the end. I'm worthy of being called her Man.

I went from hating this character to really liking him.

Possibly my favorite moment of the show. When a what the audience wanted to see what shown... and the character lived afterwards.

She more than earned her Knighthood.

I'm certain losing Jaime hit Tyrion even harder after seeing him perform such an honorable knightly duty to such a deserving warrior.

I forgive almost every sin of the last two seasons for this moment.

Jaime: And I took that personally.

Brianne is how you write a strong female character

I hope that when she was writing his story that she mentioned he was the first knight to knight a woman. I like the think she included it.

By far the greatest, and frankly only good scene, in the entire final season.

I watched this episode a second time right after I finished it a few weeks ago.

I was late to find GOT. This was the first short I saw. It convinced me I had to see what I was missing. Great scene and made me an instant fan.

Any specific reason why Jaime only kept 3 of the 7 gods? He missed Smith, Maiden, Crone and Stranger, there must be a way to include then in the oath

The Jaime / Brienne subplot was one of the best parts of the entire series. Entirely platonic, with Brienne being the catalyst that rehabilitated Jaime from a Lannister villain to a hero who fell while defending the realm. It was entirely appropriate and fitting that Jaime's actions were later made a permanent historical record by Brienne's own hand.

I wish I could watch this all over again without knowing

People just don't understand how little it takes to be good.

It's funny how so many GOT fans keep saying that the only reason that Brienne of Tarth was able to defeat the Hound and Jaime Lannister was that they were both tired as if Brienne of Tarth wasn't also tired. It's also funny how both the Hound and Jaime Lannister totally excepted their defeat against Brienne of Tarth and were able to go on with life but not these fans of GOT. 😛 Just saying...

Most of you may have hated S8 but you can't deny it had epic moments like this that brought you to tears.
