ОтветитьI think I remember the film
ОтветитьWow 15 years ago this video came out
ОтветитьU.K. No.1 today 27 years ago exactly!
ОтветитьThe best song about mediocre love ever.
ОтветитьDespite this having a sad perspective from the lyricist, it's actually kind of funny.
ОтветитьYou say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
But I know you just don't care
And I said "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I remember that film
And as I recall, I think we both kinda liked it."
And I said "Well, that's one thing we've got."
I see you - the only one who knew me
And now your eyes see through me
I guess I was wrong
So what now? It's plain to see we're over
And I hate when things are over
When so much is left undone
And I said "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I remember that film
And as I recall, I think we both kinda liked it."
And I said "Well, that's one thing we've got."
You say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
Still I know you just don't care
And I said "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I remember that film
And as I recall, I think we both kinda liked it."
And I said "Well, that's one thing we've got."
And I said "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I remember that film
And as I recall, I think we both kinda liked it."
And I said "Well, that's one thing we've got."
And I said "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I remember that film
And as I recall, I think we both kinda liked it."
And I said "Well, that's one thing we've got."
Top song.

ОтветитьI ignore my sister so much with this song her name is Tiffany 🎉
ОтветитьThis song is meant to be tongue and cheek. Its like the song hook by blues traveler in that it plays a trick on the listener by getting you to 🤔 think at first it's actually a serious tune but then the chorus is blatantly ridiculous and campy despite how emotive the melody and the vocals are.Yet,one too many people I'm sure took it seriously and I can't help but think the band members intended that to happen.I think it's hilarious
Ответитьmy boyfriend really likes this song. when i hear it, it makes me think of him :)
ОтветитьMy Favorite Song
ОтветитьThanks for me with what you've done in touch coronation street

ОтветитьI think the “relationship can’t be based on a movie” takes are too shallow.
The girl in this song doesn’t have solid reasons for breaking up either. In the beginning we are told “the world has come between us,” which is extremely vague and non-specific. Then the narrator says “still I just know you don’t care.” So the reasons don’t matter to her either.
The deeper message of this song is much simpler: it is a contrast between someone who wants to ends relationship, and someone who wants to keep it going. When someone really wants to end a relationship, everything (the world) is a reason to end it. When someone is using every excuse to hold on, any little reason (even a movie they barely remember) is a reason to stay.
Whether the relationship is “fundamentally” good or not doesn’t matter.
I think the songs based on her poor, subtle excuses for ending their relationship for another man! He knows this! But The poor blokes clinging on to any small reason for it not too!
ОтветитьI LOVE THIS‼️‼️
ОтветитьI don’t know who this Tiffany gal is but this one’s for you baby !
ОтветитьSTOP TELLING GOD THAT YOU HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON! Some day GOD will say “ I hate when things are over when so much is left undone…” God was human once and has more in common with us then you realize. God won’t hold you insecurities over your head, so don’t ever be ashamed.
ОтветитьAudrey Hepburn was one of the most elegant actresses of all time. Total class.
ОтветитьSoooo good song for guitar and singing 🤟🏼
ОтветитьNot to mention the sniper rifles up on the roof
ОтветитьAlong with about seven secret service agents. All wearing ..slacks looking simple
