ОтветитьChinese farm.
ОтветитьSeriously considering this. Have any good resources to crunch numbers prior to jumping into this head first?
ОтветитьIdc what you say naming your cav jimmy hendrix is sick asf
ОтветитьWorking on a farm is fun grew up in country working on my grandpas farm my whole life it's tough work sometimes but is worth it in my opinion
ОтветитьCool video man good info
ОтветитьI studied guinea pigs for a long time just because my girlfriend at the time had adopted 2. They grew on me… I have planned to open a guinea pig sanctuary for a couple years now, and recently I saw a video outlining how I could easily/ realistically rent farmland from a farmer. Never thought about it that way, I’ve been knocked off my feet in life but man I’m on a farm soon!
ОтветитьKeyword- He Loves What he does
ОтветитьYes!! This is my husband and I now. Doing all the research we can during our 5 year integration!
ОтветитьLife goals
ОтветитьI feel mislead by the title of the video but I enjoyed it nevertheless
ОтветитьI want to do this, thank you for this video
ОтветитьHey Morgan, I just wanted to pop on here and say what awesome content and I love your authenticity! And I love this video. You touch on the core of finding any sort of success in agriculture. It's so important for new and aspriring farmers and growers to realize that a successful small holding agriculture operation will be both diverse and need to fit within their own personal context...or as I like to say, align with their own holistic goals. Keep up the amazing work!
ОтветитьI'm a young woman who wants to start a small farm by myself to support myself and my local community. I'm setting up a business plan. But I have no idea how much land I can handle on my own. I'm pretty fit and can bench press the men in my life so I'm not worried about the physical work. Some guidance would be really appreciated.
ОтветитьMy question is how can one afford to do all this? My granfather worked at a factory for years and bought a home on 30 acres. Now its almost like everyone has to make over 200k a year to afford a 5acre homestead.
Ответитьthis was great. I am a life long vermonter/ new hampshirite and I am looking into starting my own homestead.
ОтветитьHi Mr Morgan.
I am from Pakistan and love to watch your farm videos.
How many acres is your farm?
ОтветитьI'm watching because we just bought a farm! We have little experience with livestock but need to escape the city & want to be more self sufficient. Neighbors around raise animals, one has Buffalo & lots of Mennonites too. Wish us luck, we will need it!
ОтветитьWow this entire video is comforting! New subscriber 🎉
ОтветитьBeautiful picture of the farm.
Ответитьim only 15 rn but one day I would love to buy a ranch n grow crops. or something like it
ОтветитьI love animals and would want to have farm animals but im from england there isnt much land to buy without a lot of money. I only have some parsley and a flower in my care but it makes me so happy they are doing well and ive really found a passion id never thought I had and i hope to start growing veggies and more flowers when its gets a bit warmer as my back garden is actually quite big (for a england garden), I cant wait! I hope it does well!
ОтветитьId love to have a farm but ill definitely not have enough money especially living in england with like no land
ОтветитьHi from Europe!
You made a video on how useful are cats on killing the rodents, but how about the dogs, how are they useful in the farm. Can you tell us some situations when the dogs defendit the farm from intruders like humans or wild life?
love your videos hoping i can do the same thing and get more views
ОтветитьI've always wanted to be a homesteader. Sadly though, as I reached adulthood my physical health declined and I now live with multiple chronic pain diseases.
I get my "dream fix" by watching you and Sandi Brock run each of your own farms.
How did you buy a 160 acre farm? With land prices at an average of $5000/acre, that puts the cost at $800,000. Even with working desk jobs and saving up beforehand, that's a ton of money to need to scrape together. Did you get a loan? If so, how and what amount? How much money per month do you make to both pay back the loan (if you got one) and stay alive and afford healthcare AND purchase supplies to grow and build your farm? I would love it if someone would break down the ACTUAL economics of buying, starting, and living on a farm to help guide others on what they should expect if they transition over from corporate life as well.
I can eventually learn how to do anything. But being able to afford it is a whole other issue.
That macho man impersonation was on point!
ОтветитьSerious question. Is it alright for men to go their own way?
ОтветитьDude clean up all the cow shit. How would u like to lay around in a bunch of cow shit? I’m thinking u wasn’t cut out for being a hobby farmer bro
ОтветитьMy wife's maternal grandfather is from the Hyde Park, Johnson, Eden area. She and her siblings still own acreage up there. Your doing a great job. We live a in Michigan and had the opportunity 20 years ago to invest some retirement $$$. We had done much family camping in both MI and VT and were looking for something closer to home, so we started Sunday drives to see what was within 2 hours of our "city home". Long story short the thought occurred that investing a part of our retirement fund in CDs and Stocks and reading monthly financial reports was about as much fun as a stomach ache. We fell in love with an old stone farm house in the Thumb of MI and it came with 6+ acres, a huge garage, old barn and in need of a handy man. Now we are in our 70s and think it was the best investment we ever made. If we ever need the $$$ we sell, but that does not look likely. We did promises ourselves that at 85 we sell regardless. Till then we don't use it for any serious farming (but realize on 6 acres that could be done). We don't do much serious there. Fruit trees, gardening, mostly learning handyman skills, occasionally raising bees, and for my wife a sewing room as big as a house! (Because it is!) Astronomy, Starlink internet, amateur radio, and skeet shooting behind the barn. Life is good. Currently building a solar generator and we enjoy our ebikes to get around to some wineries nearby. And only a few miles from beaches and parks in 3 of 4 directions.
Ответить😂🤣 I just discovered your channel, and hands down, you have the best cow names, EVER!
ОтветитьWe watched you a bunch until 2020 (I had a farm accident and was no longer wanting to watch any homesteading stuff, as my efforts rotted and I relearned to walk), so this was a well timed update compilation video. Thanks!
ОтветитьThe video thumbnail is so beautiful you should sell prints of it.
ОтветитьIf you are Gold, where does Shaw come from? And when you left DC, why didn't you go South to warmer climes? I guess it's my age, but I can't handle the cold much.
ОтветитьI’ve always wanted to start a small farm but I never and still don’t understand how you make money off the animals. Like ducks and chickens I could collect eggs all day but I don’t know how to make money with it to make it worth it. Even cows or pigs I don’t see how people make the money after the time and money you put in
ОтветитьI think about the possibility of moving out of Chicago and getting back to farm life which I lived more than half my life. There is nothing like it. There's a certain feeling i'm sure a lot of farmers know and it becomes even more obvious once you leave the farm for good. I miss it so much. Again, nothing like it!
Ответитьthe geese are at it again!
Ответитьbud, that image you used for your thumbnail is stunning.
ОтветитьDon't use Purina chicken feed, your birds will stop laying. They are in a joint venture with the largest chicken egg layers in the country. Go watch "Off grid with Doung and Melissa" last video on this before their video is taken down.
ОтветитьHow many miles, on average, do you walk every day?
ОтветитьI swear, Morgan could tell a tax law story while walking around the farm and make it enjoyable! ❤️
ОтветитьGreat share Morgan, such a great video, love how you share your life with us, it was so good to meet you at HOA love how you run your farm. Blessings my friend
ОтветитьMorgan you made me interested in farming
ОтветитьAbosout hair brain idea for the water freezing up and i did say hair brain idea.
Would something that can act like a kind of hot water bottle fend off the water freezing up if you tossed something with boilt water in it over night?
I have never had to deal with such cold weather over a exsended amount of time so this may be the silliest suggetion EVER .
Has the hoop coop changed the security of the farm? I am thinking of that mink attack. If a mink got into the hoop coop to wreak havoc, is there a way for Toby and Abby to get in and defend the birds?
