Beretta Px4 Compact Carry Review

Have fun finding one. I got hooked on the barrel with a cougar 8000 pawn shop find for $255.

I prefer the full size px4.

I carry the full size 9 mm. Full size G model. Great pistol.😊😊

I agree with all the shortcomings you noted.. All minor. The sights issue is easy. Trijicon front. I'm using Handleit grips seem better than the Talons IMHO. I modded a full size to a CC. In the end, I wish I just bought the LTT CC because it got that expensive. Lol

They harshed on southpaws removing the slide release on the right side.

For this gun, you can't use 115 gr, have to be 124 gr or more.

Not worth $850 normal one is 550$

Chris, it's funny that you and I both did the exact same thing with the adhesive grips on our PX4's! I had also trimmed out the front and rear grip areas to expose the grip's original texture. The problem I had, though, was that the grip tape tended to shift around after I cut it up. Actually, it started to shift so much that I decided to get rid of it. My solution? I cut up an old 26x2.0 bike inner tube and slid a small section of the tube over the grip. I love it! And it didn't cost me anything.

I bought based on reviews and feel. It is light weight but that is a disadvantage to smaller hands and smaller people unless you are a powerlifter/bodybuilder. I changed out the grips to more fit my hand. When I went to the range the 1st shot was alright but the recoil being so much and all over the place was horrible and my follow-up shots were way off target. I think this gun is great if you have bigger hands and are a strong individual. I shot 50 rounds and look forward to selling it in the future. My 2 cents.

I find it funny a weapon from a company is never, ever ever good enough. This gun is fantastic from the factory just as is!. There is nothing on this pistol that is sharp and will cut you. BS. If I was Beretta I would be suing you in court!

I'm a BERETTA MAN (I KNOW WHAT SEX I AM), SORRY GOT OFF SUBJECT BUT COULDN'T RESIST THAT BECAUSE I'M CAN'T BELIEVE ALL THIS BS IDEOLOGY ABOUT SEX AND IDENTITY.😯😞. I want you to know that I have had a NICE COLLECTION OF BERETTAS mostly 22lrs but I had a ITALIAN MADE STAINLESS 92FS with 2 extra barrels (GI Issue chrome bore and a extended stainless barrel with muzzle brake). I purchased a competition kit for it (7.25" chrome lined barrel, walnut target grips, fully adjustable rear sight, extra tall front sight on a slide extension for the longer barrel). I bought a stripped slide, installed the parts and mounted the entire kit on the extra slide, MAKES going from standard mode to competition mode by just disassemble and swap slides. GETTING BACK ON SUBJECT I would like to possibly check out the Storm PX4 but years ago I was able to pick up a STOEGER COUGAR in 9mm for CHEAP I thought ($300). When I took it apart to clean I was IMPRESSED. I didn't like how the insides the slide and saw what looked to me as possible JAM PROBLEMS. I have a Grand Power X-Caliber that ALSO HAS A ROTATING BARREL. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL THE WAY IT IS MACHINED WILL AMAZE YOU, MAKES ME THINK OF OLD GERMAN CRAFTSMANSHIP ON A LUGER. 😯😁👍. The way it is machined and designed was BEAUTIFUL, NO WAY TO JAM.😯😁👍. OF COURSE THAT'S ONLY OPINION. I have done some not too minor gunsmithing on several LUGERS (P08). I replaced the recoil spring on the one I have NOW. It was a slight BEAR to get the new recoil spring (40lbs) ESPECIALLY it's not in a vise, it was in my lap in chair in my den. Then got a BROKEN LUGER (locked up) that I figured I could possibly fix it if I can figure out how BAD IS THE BREAKAGE is and can I get a INEXPENSIVE ORIGINAL PART that broke. The breach block had to be replaced, I got a period original part for $40😯😁👍. I had to stone the part to fit. I got it working, shot GREAT. but I already had ONE. BUT this one had a 8" barrel and someone POLISHED IT UP, LOOKED PRETTY. I SHOULDN'T HAVE SOLD IT.😯😞. HAVE A GOOD DAY 😁

This is the gun I've been looking for, a DA/SA carry gun with a respectable capacity. Love my p365, but after so much time with my p226, I really prefer a hammer fired, DA/SA pistol. This Px4 is perfect.

See, i'd 100% go for this, but 9mm isn't my preferred cartridge. i'm kinda stuck with getting the regular PX4 Compact and doing some upgrades because my preferred cartridge is .40 S&W. For most people who want a DA/SA semi-auto, this is a fantastic option. unless you're brandon and carry a makarov i guess.

Can you mount a red dot or is it like Hk hammer fired

Looked at the subcompact today, end of 2021, in 40 S&W. From what I can tell, no 357 Sig barrels made for it? Would like a 40/357 Sig da/sa, about impossible to find, and the Sigs are $1200 to $2500.

Any solutions?

Very curious of your thoughts on the sub compact version of the PX4 Storm. I know you love this gun but the consensus seems to be the sub compact version is even better for EDC

Stock px4 is superior to glock that has 500 into it . I don’t trust people that hate beretta , they are lovers of sin .

I was wondering if you could help me locate one of these I'm having a hard time finding somebody who either have one in stock or is willing to notify me when they get one. Part of the problem is I'm getting confused about the exact model number of this handgun that is tweaked with the better trigger and night sights and decocker only. If they are able to get the DA near 8 lbs, they should make a DAO version and bypass any issue on the levers. I was always fond of my 92D Centurion. Unfortunately, i cannot get a PX4 until i move to a free state. They are not on the Kalifornia "safety roster".

Can the ambi slide catch be added to the Compact Carry? The left side only isn't great for lefties.
