Description recipe doesnt list franks hot sauce
ОтветитьSome sugar.... why not just say how much is "some"
ОтветитьI really like the way you say weiner!
ОтветитьHello Tess,
I used your recipe today and made 2qts of pickled Oscar Mayer Wieners, and 1qt. of Lit'l Smokies. After they pickle ( 2-3 weeks ) I'll let you know how I liked it.
JT
Do you just throw away the brine after you have eaten all the pickles?
ОтветитьI love anything pickled! Great video! I just had a thought, I bet adobe peppers in their sauce would be a great addition. They have a great smoky, spicy flavor.
ОтветитьSo can I use turkey sausage?
ОтветитьWas wanting to make some of these and found your recipe. God Bless and stay safe.
ОтветитьI’m making these today thanks so much!
ОтветитьCurious how it would turn out if you simmered the weiners with the brine ?
Ответитьno water ?
ОтветитьI've been checking around for a recipe for my first try at pickled hot wieners, only difference is, I want to pressure can them so I can store them in the cellar (I'm thinking 10 mins. at 10 psi) . I am also thinking of Pace hot salsa instead of franks hot sauce. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьThats going to be definitely delicious
ОтветитьDid not like the hot water! Y not more viniger
Ответитьcan you hot water bath them like chow chow to store up? nana and papa aka the hunter wishing you well.
ОтветитьI thought Weird Al made up the idea of pickled wieners for his song about the twine ball. They exist!
ОтветитьOh boy I can't hardly wait to try this , I've never seen these before but they look amazing, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful recipe
ОтветитьWe made this today and my husband loves it. It is such a great easy recipe. Thanks for sharing. But if you could please tell us the measurement of the sugar and other spices? We did it to taste. Thanks again.
ОтветитьAre they just a hot bath?
ОтветитьFor sure a favorite Pennsylvania bar food of mine. I never passed them up.
Thanks so much for the recipe, they are not seen here in Florida. Except for this weekend.
They will be seen at my place this weekend!
Thanks Tess!
I'm New to canning. You didn't say how one would can precooked hotdogs. Anyone know how to prep this process for long term canning?
ОтветитьLove you! I have missed you :-)
ОтветитьI do 3 to 4 weeks on pickled meat and pickled eggs before I touch them. I learned that when I lived in England and made pickled eggs.
ОтветитьI want to make this but I can't do the heat because of a geographic tongue. I'm wondering what I can replace the five ounces of hot sauce with.
ОтветитьI have known people to cook the sausage anything more than a hot dog such as kielbasa or smoked sausage. They do this because once they add the hot water if they're not cooked they seem to make a layer of Grease?
ОтветитьDo you have the canning info? For a pressure canner?
ОтветитьWant to try this with my Trinidad scorpion peppers
ОтветитьLooks yummy! I just made pickled eggs and kielbasa. Made some deviled eggs after I pickled them.
ОтветитьCan you please describe the method for canning these? Everything I find says there is no approved method for canning, and I don't understand why. I figured pressure canning for 90 minutes like any other canned meat would be sufficient
ОтветитьHi Tess
I'm new to your channel, and love your videos. I can't get the quantities for the pickled wieners off your channel. Can you let me know please.
Thanks Tess
Looks good to me
ОтветитьMy Grandma used to put these out on her bar back in the 60's and my Ma loved them. She hasn't had them in years so I've been looking for good recipes to play with to try and replicate that for her. Thank you for this video, it's going to help me a lot and give me a great jumping off point.
Your suggestions for what to also add are fantastic, thanks so much!
Great to see the PA Dutch get their due!!!
Thanks
I did a shot every time you said wieners...I never made it to the end of your video.
ОтветитьLooks good!
ОтветитьYou said wiener..
ОтветитьLooks wonderful except for Frank’s hot sauce🤢🤮 the worst hot sauce I’ve ever had and I had a lot.
Ответитьsubscribed 😎
Ответитьquick and to the point !
ОтветитьThey actually look really good suprising enough
ОтветитьYum! Remember to tell Frank you used his hotsauce ;-)
ОтветитьVery good
ОтветитьHow long will they store for?
ОтветитьPersonally, I boil the wieners in water to boil as much of the fat out as I can get.
My dogs love the drain off after it has completely cooled, too ;)
Looks good I'ma do this
ОтветитьAwesome, thanks!
ОтветитьHow long would they last for
ОтветитьYou gotta be overweight to enjoy these
ОтветитьYummers
ОтветитьYour awesome!!!!!
