Good product worth your money

I got a Eufy for 2 years now. It is just terrible. My modem is 1 meter away from the doorbell but it sometimes takes up to 1 full minute until a live connection is established.

Google will be dropping support for nest by April, 2024. Any thoughts on whether staying with nest is still feasible or should I be looking for another brand. I currently have the original generation nest but looking to upgrade. Holding off for now

I honestly wouldn’t mind paying rings subscription if they made more advancements with that money vs eufy but mean while am stick to efuy just wish it was a little less glitchy at times

I like your videos but I have to disagree with you on this one. Eufy is #1. I use to own ring products for years and recently I switched to Eufy and by far is the best decision I made on my doorbell. I have the wired version and has no issue with it at all. I like the no monthly subscription, fast notifications, and the better quality.

The false notifications you got with Nest is probably due to the flag you have close to your door? If not probably the tree branches?

Ring pro 2 will not support mesh systems that switch to 5ghz. Please keep this in mind and don't make the same mistake I did. I purchased the ring pro 2 and it constantly goes offline, support says buy an access point that only utilizes 2.4 ghz. This is important to know!!

@lifehckster, subscriber request! We want a video of "best wired video doorbell that can do RTSP/record on NAS or NVR (no subscription required method) in the market!

I just want a doorbell that works as a doorbell when it fails. Ok, tech is great, but what if I have WiFi issues? Which one stills rings my doorbell?

Are you able to connect the eufy doorbell to a Google Home speaker as a chime?

@lifehackster I thought the eufy duo recorded the video on the new doorbell chime now that is a larger white box not that wall plug in anymore.

Ring pro by far the best I agree

Eufy 2k dual is still in the same beta the features and option promising not even available. No optional separate to set notification area motion detect it's together with record. No Nas No hub. No detect animal and cars. Security is easy for hackers proven by hackers. Wth man. Most of my stuff is Anker power bank USB micro, c,lighting cable, security cameras
wire usb plug.

So which video quality was better? Nest or ring pro 2?

How do they do in Canadian cold Winters?

Eufy is best for me because it doesn't have a monthly fee.

Question on google. It's 3 hours for free recording but idk what that means. Can you only see the most recent 3 hours? So if something happens at 1am when I'm asleep, does this mean that I can check footage at 7am when I wake up? Also, when I view the past 3 hours of footage, am I able to download the portion iof the needed footage (like 1 min of package delivery, not all 3 hours). Thank you

Ive had good and very reliable service with the nest doorbell!..I did have a problem with ring holding a steady wifi connectivity.Nest’s video at night is also very clear!

Might want to update this video since Eufy should no longer be trusted for any type of security.

Are there any that give a photo snapshot without the subscription? Hopefully the reolink does. I cancelled my ring subscription when they put up the price; I didn't realise I would lose this feature.

I like Eufy, but my battery doorbell, is just over 2 years old and has water inside the lens causing some spots to appear, especially at night with the outdoor lights.

Whats the best wired wifi cameras atm, currently on a budget so cant get a nvr system yet but i do plan on saving up for one and checking boxing day sales but for now im after wired wifi, subscription doesnt bother me and only need the 1-2 cameras to cover the front garden which is about 15ft front door to gate and about 30-40ft left to right from front door

Had a ring doorbell but the subscription & low resolution were a problem for me, I changed to a Eufy 2k doorbell with no subscription. and had no problems with it at all.

Was thinking of getting a ring doorbell because my floodlight cam works super well and worth the $3 subscription. So the doorbell will likely work as well and the subscription is cheaper than the nest even with the new pricing. I went with Eufy but not the dual, instead I got the one with free 24/7 recording. I would say it's about as good as my old nest meaning not that reliable but no monthly fee. Having the chime separate should mean it's more reliable than using the existing chime as the super capacitor on the nest wasn't that reliable.

I dumped my Ring Doorbell 2 when they increased the price of the basic plan by 33%. It was my only Ring camera at the time and, while a dollar doesn't sound like much, it was the principle of just how much they increased it. The rest of my cameras are Nest, Eufy, and Wyze. I do miss how much better my Ring performed as a doorbell, though. I agree with all of your findings about the others. I can't seem to find a better doorbell and the new Nest is a pretty big disappointment after how long it took them to release it.

Eufy’s wired doorbells do not integrate / are not compatible with Eufy’s new Homebase 3 either, at least as of this writing. Another inexplicable ball-drop by Eufy.

My Nest wired Doorbell 2nd gen arrives today. My Nest Hello Doorbell finally bit the dust after many many years of reliable service in rain, tornadoes and direct sunlight. Although I value your reviews, I had to stick with Nest since Eufy won’t use my chime, still doesn’t detect packages reliably having a dedicated camera and doesn’t record both sides of conversations (which was helpful when neighbor called the policy accusing me of vandalism when I was 4000 miles away on vacation. She had to insert her foot in her mouth). I was going to go full Eufy with Homebase 3 and 4k cameras, but half duplex audio stinks.

I also already had a Starling Hub which bring my 3 Nest devices into Homekit.

I had 4 Ring products many years ago, but their non-consensual sharing of live video and recordings with police ended that relationship. Let people know first and let us opt-in.

I dont know if its my device or yours but my experience with eufy dual doorbell has been flawless. Ring is slow with notifications and thats not to mention the cloud prices. Eufy all the way.

Because of subscriptions and the Eufy security issues, will wait for the Reolink. But worried about it's field of view and lack of support of an existing chime. So, still no perfect video doorbell. Maybe 2023!!!!!

You should have made the holes for the ring bell on the mortar. That way if you need to patch it, it is unnoticed once patched. On the brick that is not the case.
