How Speedrunners Already Shattered Dead Space Remake

This makes me so happy. Dead space has been one of my favorite series for 12 years. Seeing people enjoy it over 10 years after the last installment is awesome. Fantastic games, but I think the remake outdid them all.

I found a soft lock during my play thru when going to medical before the regen fight if you keep the main door open you can run to one of the side doors before the Dr can lock you in if you hear part of the Dr link lines your soft locked and you have to reload the game but as long as it doesn’t play you can set up the er room and set up the batteries where they need to be then go back and the normal dr locked room scene will play

On another note, I was extremely skeptical about how good this remake was going to be, but Motive really nailed this beautifully, managing to keep EA from butchering yet another Deadspace release

I think in heavy hindsight, if you squint at just the right angle, Dead Space 3 could have been an amazing game, the parts for it are all there. Just completely remove EA from the E qu A tion and give it time to cook and develop out more flavor and it could have been right up there alongside a Resident Evil Remake in how good it is, cause I don't think you could make the series a full horror game anymore with everything that's happened so far. And I actually liked the idea of being able to make your own weapons with scrap lying around, the problem was ammo was just never balanced properly

How long do you prefer speedruns to be, i.e. too short and it is over in a flash, too long and it drags on or gets too much with all the pressure of not making any mistakes, etc.?

About 1 hour like the original Deadspace? or more like the remake of 2 hours / a bit more than that?

I'm softlocked on chapter 10. I thought I'd found a cool skip by jumping off the platform on chapter 2, but I payed for it 8 chapters later lol.

Motive did great with this one. And thank goodness EA kept their greedy corporate noses out of it this time so we didn't get a repeat of Dead Space 3

I actually really loved Dead Space 3 for the way you can craft your own tailor made weapon and even send the schematic of it to a friend. I made some crazy weapons.

Hope you se this, but I’m playing right now on chapter 10 (the very beginning) and accidentally found a way to de-load the area around the 0 G-basket ball court.

Been trying to reach the executive shuttle and so far I’ve been able to get to the room where we se the cutscene of Mercer and Jacob Temple, but the thing is that the spot where I found this area, is consistent

This remake was really enjoyable to get all achievements in, my only complaint was that the impossible difficulty seemed a bit watered down compared to the older trilogy in terms of difficulty, but other than that, no complaints, great game

DS3 is not a bad game in particular. It is a action survival and with the right weapons it makes a lot of fun (when the limbs are flying all over the place). Sadly, you have to grind materials until then...

Dead Space Remake was ok, not a masterpiece or anything superior because the Original had the following:

- Nicole did not look like Carol Marcus from Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan

- Shrank boobs

- Talking Isaac (You're supposed to be Isaac"

It has some good nerfs that deserves praise, for example;

- Node locked doors gone
- weaker necros
- asteroid level super easy
- weapons now have better secondary shots and overall better
- Level 6 suit

I like it as a remake but I think it does not impact me the way the 2008 original did when I played it.

They broke it because dead space remake is the same game. All the exploits are still the same.

Imagine thinking a game that has been redone completely from scratch would have the same exploits and be built exactly the same... This is exactly why I don't speed run. Skipping certain areas can lead to catastrophic results, especially in newer games.

I don't see these a speed runs I think this is utter garbage play the game see how fast you can complete it why is glitching considered a speed run it's not and it is not impressive

Honestly gaming companies need to make it impossible for people to even break they game. It’s fucked up people legit would do this to creators of the games that a worked on for YEARS. Speed running is just fucking stupid too. Just play the game it was originally made.
