Incredible story and a plot twist indeed. Thank you for your time into this, Captain Elliot.
ОтветитьEnjoyed hearing you read!!!
ОтветитьAmong other things, Dickens was a genius at creating names.
ОтветитьI don't get what he's saying about Mary Marshall. Why didn't the girl he was betrothed to marry him?
ОтветитьBeautiful!
Ответитьoh that twist. awesome.
ОтветитьI think with Doubledick Dickens was taking the Doublepiss!
ОтветитьThanks a lot for reading this amazing story so nicely.
ОтветитьI never read Dickens until I retired. I saw several versions of The Christmas Carol and the movie, A Tale of Two Cities. They seemed okay. However, when I read these stories. I was amazed by his craftsmanship and his beautifully conceived stories. He is now one of my favorite authors. This story, so beautifully narrated, added to my favorable impressions of Mr.Dickens. Thank you for this.
ОтветитьI gave it an honest go but my giggling at Richard Doubledick was too distracting 😂 It occurred like 10 times in the first 8 minutes!
ОтветитьBeautifully narrated ,thanks mate ❤️

ОтветитьWonderful narration of a mediocre story.
ОтветитьGood story
ОтветитьSounds like the two soldiers were in love
ОтветитьI have greatly enjoyed many of His novels, so I cannot complain that a few of his short stories were clinkers. Oh well, it is bravely and well narrated. Good work, man.

ОтветитьGreat writing by Dickens, not a word wasted. Perfectly narrated, thanks
ОтветитьSimply, best.

ОтветитьWhat is an Ensign in British Army? Is that the same as an American Lt.?
ОтветитьWhat a name for a promoted character. He was a liar and was only running from his past. How sad.
ОтветитьI'm listening to this bedridden at the hospital but I had to stop because I'm not supposed to laugh and Richard Double Dick gets me every time
ОтветитьRichard double dick made me double over in my chair 😂

Imagine turning this into a drinking game. Dare you to drink everytime he says “ Richard double dick”!
ОтветитьIs this monty python?
ОтветитьPrivate Richard Double Dick would get flogged....Dickens knew exactly what he was doing lol

ОтветитьBrilliant reading of the worst of Dickens.
